I am always excited for anything new that Madonna releases to the fans - but am a little bit bummed that it is not NEW music and it just being another - "Greatest Hits Collection" being released! Same music, same songs, same "they all sound alike" remixes.....

Don't get me wrong, I am excited for this but just wish it was something fresh and new!

"Shiny and new" is wonderful but this feels right for a fortieth anniversary celebration.

I'm willing to bet there will be a ballads collection down the road. These reissues are gonna sell like hot cakes and they will milk her discography to no end. And I don't think they'll just simply reissue Something To Remember; I think it will be a collection of her ballads/mid tempo singles.

    Deluxe Edition:

    Side A:

    1. Crazy For You

    2. Live To Tell

    3. La Isla Bonita

    4. The Look of Love

    5. Oh Father

    Side B:

    6. Sooner Or Later

    7. This Used To Be My Playground

    8. Bad Girl

    9. Rain

    Side C:

    10. I'll Remember

    11. Secret

    12. Take A Bow

    13. You'll See

    14. Don't Cry For Me Argentina

    15. You Must Love Me

    Side D:

    16. Frozen

    17. Drowned World/Substitute For Love

    18. The Power of Goodbye

    19. What It Feels Like For A Girl

    Side E:

    20. Nothing Fails

    21. Miles Away

    22. Masterpiece

    23. Ghosttown

    24. Crave

I just realized that Physical Attraction is included.

MY BABY IS FINALLY GETTING THE RECOGNITION SHE DESERVES AFTER 4 FUCKING DECADES.

Exactly....  I think that the general public will enjoy this too.  It crosses generational lines, contains a more complete discography,  and the selections are streamable sized.  I can see people looking up a classic and discovering the album.  There are artists that I love who just don't have this sort of catalogue... not even close.  We are blessed to have this collection.  Madonna stated that "sticking around" was the most controversial thing that she has ever done.  I am sure glad that she did!

Angel was only on that list cause its b-side, Into The Groove.

I am certain that 99% of all DJs played Groove, cause that was the big hit that summer.  Therefore, Angel isn't on the album.

Also, Angel is a beautiful song that sounds great on the LP, but the "dance mix" is horrible. No bass and just too much echo all over the place...

Angel was played incessantly on Michigan radio and I loved it.  Of course, Into the Groove was on infinite radio replay too..... and neither was even a proper single in the states.  The power of M..... As for the dance remix of Angel, I thought that it was fun but I was too young to know whether or not clubs were playing it.  I bought the vinyl EP cause I was so surprised that this was the same person who sang Like a Virgin and Material Girl.  I loved how different it was from her other music.  I had heard that MTV asked M to slow down and not release a video for Angel as there were so many already in constant rotation. Who knows....  obviously cuts had to be made to stay at 50!  I am super excited though.  I can see radios (internet and standard) playing these tracks.  The general public is gonna like this on streaming too (the right, songs, mixes and edits) and that is the golden ticket these days.  M's legacy deserves this sort of treatment and it is about time.

    Hear Hear!

Physical Attraction is a strange inclusion, but I guess that Me Against The Music was a number one so...

Lucky Star and Causing a Commotion but M chose Physical Attraction.  I like Physical Attraction but not as much as Lucky Star or Causing a Commotion.  I am pretty happy with the collection though and I new that some songs would be cut to stay at 50 as there were a couple of multiple song entries.  But how great is this collection gonna be?   I cannot wait to play it all friggin summer on repeat.

  6. My only complaint is that Who's that Girl was skipped on the Immaculate Collection and now Causing a Commotion is sidelined on this collection.  Both were number ones in their respective charts.  Madonna has so many friggin hits that it is nearly impossible to fit everything.  As for the collection being edits... I think that is a great choice!  The collection is already 220+ minutes long.  I can see myself listening to 50 edits more frequently vs (50) 8 to 12 minute songs.  The art is fun!  I prefer the 50 song cover but she looks great on both and I pre-ordered both on cd, vinyl and digital.  This collection is gonna be fun and I am so relieved that it is loaded with classics rather than reinvention features.  I would have supported it regardless but these choices make me sooooo happy.

Interesting. I love Medellin and it’ll be nice to see M onstage with someone she really love as a friend. He clearly respects her as I don’t think many she has had feature for her have also had her feature for them (Soltera). As long as she is happy I can’t ask for much.

And Bitch I'm Loca!  Love the official remix video.
