Regardless of different opinions on the MDNA album (I think its great honestly) but the last time the general public people showed massive interest in her music was the MDNA album and the tour.
There was a definite shift in the public's perception and attitude of her from 2014 onwards.
Yeah I think so too - regardless on whether MDNA was a good album the interest was there for it when it was launched and think people were hoping for something better than Hard Candy after a 4 year wait between albums but I think the single choices were so poor the interest quickly dropped upon release though. Had Warners been involved I think we would have got a different version of the album with some of the tracks worked on a bit more and better single choices and promotion and most likely a set list on the tour that had more hits like she did for Re-Invention after American Life perform as well as Music and Ray of Light commercially.
When she attended the premieres around the world for W/E around the same time the public went crazy to see her on the red carpet and not so much the actors in the film - was so obvious everyone was far more interested in Madonna being there - so think there was still so much interest around the time of MDNA anticipating it's release.
I do think the move from Warners and not having their expertise and clout with promotion and when Liz Rosenberg retired too that didn't help and was around the time she seemed to do alot of celebrity endorsements that I don't think helped her brand and how interested people were in her as an artist compared to period before

I read the camera operator called Tim told fans the last 2 dates in Mexico will be the ones filmed for the proper film of the tour

So, if true, not just the Music performance coming (I can't help but being super excited for the live broadcasting, the last time I saw one of her shows live on tv I was 22

And YES Mexico, the friday night show still is the LAST proper Celebration Tour performance, Copacabana is more like a worldwide live event to close the tour

It's like the part from Confessions from Hung Up when she is crawling down the Catwalk - one of those iconic moments. I love it too the whole walk in Vogue on this tour

Agreed. She's not going to sit on releasing this tour while she's still on a PR high of mainly positive reviews. The Rio show will be a standalone event streamed live (not sure if it will make it to PPV in the US but I'm sure it will be recorded then resold as a bootleg bluray w amazing menus created by rabid loving fans ;) then Jonas is either doing a IGTTYAS/TOD type doc w concert footage. Maybe we'll get "Rain" with Rio and "Take a Bow" with the other release?
While they didn't have audience release signage in LA, Jonas shot at least 3 out of 5 LA nights ( i didn't attend 2) ; I doubt it was for practice. I was at the 3/9 LA show where his wife, one of M's main stylists, B. Akerland and her two daughters were seated in the front row at the end of the main runway along with VIPS. Considering the countless rehearsals and shows B and her daughters have seen, it wouldn't be too crazy to think he mightve asked them to sit there in case their faces ended up on camera. It would be easy to clear anyone in that row since most were escorted in and out by her staff.
So glad LA shows were filmed and these Mexico ones will be too - the performances in LA looked amazing and the the clips from Mexico too

I hope if they are going to mix LA and Mexico that the really get her hair and outfits to look as close as possible to the LA dates as is so annoying watching noticeable differences from shot to shot on a recording of a concert - was like the didn't even think about it for Madame X with the constant hair and eye patch changes from shot to shot

So excited that it looks like Jonas is going to doing the concert film - he did an incredible job filming and editing confessions. Wonder if they will use film again like he did for Conferssions as the image quality was stunning. The show really deserves to be filmed by the best. Hope he is in charge of the live broadcast show from Rio too. I hope they really bring it and put on the best shows of the tour for the ones being filmed. The LA shows looked the best to date from the clips and glad they were filmed.

At :49 Mercy's hands are not on the piano but it keeps playing or maybe is a different instrument? The piano sounds exactly the same on every clip would be surprised what we hear is what she is playing? But I don't care I love this performance the best of the whole show along with Nothing Really Matters

Yeah lol it is the slight differences with he hair that give some shots away from being from two different nights but is so much better than the continuity fails on MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X and think so well shot and edited overall and her performance was on fire when they filmed it
