our tastes sure do vary lol

  4. Hommage to the old Hollywood and satire of the quest for eternal beauty, with an ironic glamourous Guy Bourdin style.
  5. I like it. It makes it look vintage and futuristic at the same time. Embrace this chaotic side of the Madonnaverse. It isn't anyone's favorite M song anyway.
  6. YES. Well that's exactly the point of pop music, and art in general. There is the message the artist releases with its own meaning, and there is the feeling aroused in the person in the audience (or the museum, or the library, whatever) and their interpretation of what they are witnessing. It's not a one-way thing. Perception is key. Sometimes it obvious and stupid, sometimes it's subtle and it goes to an unexpected place. M has always been good at that.
  7. Intervention is part of the Mother Madonna lyrics dimension, like Dear Jessie, Nothing Really Matters, Little Star, Easy Ride, Hold Tight, God Control...
  8. Absolutely. It's hard to get how it adds up. I guess we'll see how it materializes in the Celebration tour audiences
  9. Rather than "bizarre", it's unexpected. DSPs (like Spotify) and social media (like TikTok) work in such a way that any activity on them weighs far more than everything that happened before them, aka the Internet. For algorithms, one "like" on a random meme counts more than everyone who read the Bible or the Quran on paper since they were printed. One stream will always mean more than any radio, club and whatever play of Frozen between 1998 and the late 2000s/early 2010s, when the music industry switched its the business model to data. The "majority of fans" that hate this version have had no activity with it, while they probably listen less frequently to the original Frozen versions (album cut, single), so any new or regular listener of the 2021/2022 has more impact according to today's standards. It is a great achievement indeed, she hacked her own classics unexpectedly. Though in the end, it's just M breaking another record, another proof that her music can be relevant.
  10. Nobody dies in the end

  11. Can't you just copy-paste what they said instead of making assumptions and being vague? What Facebook Group? Who posed what exactly? Is what they say reliable?
  12. This is my favourite M release in a long time.

I always thought album art make nice pillow cases 😴

  13. When the girl's in charge, all goes well. Hopefully the next re-issues will be as good.
  14. Got mine and of course a couple of other RSD releases I didn't plan to buy 💸 Lucky Records still has a lot of them and they said the remaining copies will be available online from 7pm (Paris time).
  15. Studio versions go through a reiteration process, with different demos serving several purposes: choreography, video, scenography, stage mechanics, etc. You don't need accurate vocal rendition to edit a backdrop video, but the music/production has to be set in stone at some point, especially the duration of each song or segment. The final vocal take is recorded later in the process, as a vocal support for the live performance. Some vocals can also be rerecorded for the Live album/movie release, much later after the tour ended.
  16. Love it. Still love Madame X anyway. Wonder if they'll promote the next (big) tour with the last (less big) tour release or how press is going to react 3 years later. Sometimes, I feel the events just before the pandemic vanished like the Blip happened...
  17. More BDSM references in Alex Anwandter's new video... #erotica #romance #idliketopuyouinatrance

  18. One from each album, making up my own alternate M reality: Think Of Me Over and Over Jimmy Jimmy Till Death Do Us Part Why's It So Hard I'd Rather Be Your Lover (feat. Tupac) Skin Impressive Instant Intervention Super Pop Animal I'm Addicted Addicted (The One That Got Away) Ciao Bella and a couple of outtakes throughout the eras: Shame Sooner or Later Buenos Aires Time Stood Still Never Let Me Go
  19. Probably the best thing Rauhofer did with M. The rest is meh even though I love the songs.
