If they play their cards right, have a plan to shake up the tik-tok side of things with the new version and capitalise on Fireboy's listeners, they could build some good momentum.

That was the narrative in the media, but I'm talking about how Tupac felt when she made the joke about rehabilitating rappers and basketball players. He was the son of Black Panther Party members, so his perception of race was more militant. 
In the letter to Madonna dated January 15, 1995, he wrote:  "An interview where you said ‘I’m off to rehabilitate all the rappers & basketball players’ or something to that effect those words cut me deep seeing how I had never known you to be with any rappers besides myself. It was at this moment out of hurt & and natural instinct to strike back and defend my heart & ego that I said a lot of things."
In his April 1995 Vibe cover story, he was asked about his relationship with Madonna and he said: "I was letting people dictate who should be my friends. I felt like because I was this big Black Panther type of n*gga, I couldn’t be friends with Madonna. And so I dissed her, even though she showed me nothing but love. I felt bad, because when I went to jail, I called her and she was the only person that was willing to help me. Of that stature. Same thing with Mickey Rourke—he just befriended me. Thanks for the screen grabs. An interesting perspective to an extent regarding biopics in general, but there's also a whiff of misogyny directed at Madonna to it (yes, even though the writer is female). I mean the headline is such gaslighting. How dare a living human being have a creative perspective on their own life. "Kanye's doc proves...." Bullshit. It's such projection. If M reads anything like this, it will be like a red flag to a bull and she'll absolutely double down... remember her remarks online when the New York Times 'Madame X' feature came out. She. Was. Furious....

She was only "classy" during that period because she had to clean her image up for Evita and then Kabahlaa made her all pious and a bit "I've discovered spirituality so now I'm enlightened" which continued until the divorce from Guy. Which was great for her public image as it made her seem more friendly, I guess. She acted like she is now back in the 80s and early 90s, she was the ultimate brat. My Mam was always rolling her eyes at her for things she said and did. So I think she's just gone back to her natural state to be honest, even if that does come with a certain amount of insecurity. But everyone has that to some degree....
