Wow! That really was interesting. Since the music always sounds so consistent I, and I'm sure a lot other people, assumed it was just pre-recorded. I had no idea how 'live' it really is. So cool.

In my opinion i really Like the tracks that she did with him for RH ;)

The songwriting during Rebel Heart sessions was pretty great, with all the demos and so many songs being written I think she was inspired during that time. I hope she takes her time, but writing music along the way and putting songs aside for her next album. with Rebel Heart I kinda got the sense that she goes into different sounds during conception of albums and then when she finally starts to piece the tracklist together she ends up having to go with the material that will blend well together in a cohesive way, so great tracks (like Never Let You Go, and Nothing Lasts Forever) that are really well written don't see the light of day not because of any kind of drop in quality but simply because it wouldn't be as cohesive. So you never know, maybe when an album is slightly weaker (like MDNA overall) she ends up using tracks that are kind of throwaway/filler (Superstar) because it won't interrupt the flow of the album. I want more meaningful songs instead of just stupid music that doesn't really mean anything though... Give Me All Your Luvin' isn't all that different to Bitch I'm Madonna really, they're both "show me love" songs. No more Nicki Minaj. I'd like something more organic from her, not acoustic, but more of a Ray of Light kind of vibe. I want music that feels like she wrote it because she had to get it out rather than BIM kinda stuff. Rebel Heart was a step forward though - leaks affected the tracklist most likely, working with different producers who are all busy, having so many different songs and managing to make the album work and sound like a cohesive project, she did quite well really. (Although I'm not sure what possessed her to record a song like Score).
 
Madonna's best work from the past 15 years tends to sound kind of experimental... Ray of Light and Music, American Life, even Confessions sounds experimental musically when you really listen to it. Songs like Push and Isaac.

Antonoff and Frank Dudes ("Green Light" by Lorde)
Daft Punk, Max Martin, Cirkut & Benny Blanco ("Starboy" album by The Weeknd)

If she thinks of starting to write new music in a year or so...
 
I don't want raw politics. Honestly it's not really what I want or need at this moment. I don't want angry or sad music. There's enough of that in the world.
 
I'd like something deep and universal, without being soapboxy.
 
Maybe something spiritual that relates to the world right now, like only she can do... but still "current" and cool. Mix those 2 elements together, undergroundy and cool but meaningful. Something to inspire. I guess kinda continue in the vein of Iconic, but a bit more stripped back and chilled. 
 
That would be the ideal direction for me, but of course I'll be interested in whatever she wants to do.

Well yeah but that's completely different. Almost always, she re-records vocals for demos used for tour versions but we're talking about officially released remixes.

I think at this point there really shouldn't be a break from her music career completely. She needs to pump her legacy a bit more. These children have no idea who she is & that's just gonna get harder. Releasing BAT on blu ray, or a blu ray concert box set or maybe a remixed GH compilation, releasing her back remix catalogue on iTunes & streaming, a costume exhibit, etc etc. just one or two these things is all I'm asking until the next era

She's never not done a release for a tour so let's wait and see. I swear madonna fans freak out about nothing. It's not like she's gonna be manufacturing the DVDs by hand lmfao.   

I have no problem with her taking a year or two off from music but dipped in the vaults for some goodies to put out.

I somehow doubt that we'll get new music this year...would love a new single though.

Mama's gonna need money to put those damn kids through college. It's called her "Release all the old tour DVDs them thirsty bitches want" security plan. Then movie with new single, new album featuring said single from movie, new album promotion on Ellen then tour in two parts into 2019. Yaaaaaassssss!!!

She's had a 35 year career. She can do whatever she wants at this point TBH.

Its not considered a soundtrack, the full title is "I'm Breathless: Music From & Inspired by the film Dick Tracy"
 
Seeing that Madonna is on every track, its a Madonna album.  I suppose it could be considered a concept album in a way?
