The ONLY way she could have another #1 worldwide hit will be :
* if her team pay for MASSIVE play / promotion on radio stations, and invasive AD single promos on mobile (example : youtube sponsored ads)
* She needs a strong, more AGRESSIVE and STRATEGIC promotion Team that will restore her title and rightful place in music.
* Also she would have to make a song that it's a bit retro with a modern twist, happy and danceable. 80's synth music is liked by young mainstream again (example : the weekend, dua lipa)
I can't understand why someone as legendary as her, will allow her career to fade in the shadows. So many of her work has gone unnoticed, unplayed by the mainstream, which is unfair.
She has all the power and $$ in the world to establish her music and force it into the mainstream.
I noticed how her spotify monthly plays are low (14m) while other artists have 8x more listeners than her. This says a lot about her presence in music. Its sad...I want her to do well again...
I totally agree with you. I have no idea why Madonna has let her legacy just fade away, or she can't be bothered anymore. It's such a shame, as she was so inspiring for me back in the day, now she just seems like a caricature of herself.
She needs to get her act together.

I don't think she ever will again, at this point she can make the best song in the world, and the mainstream won't bother to notice it. She is blocked from airplay and proper promo too.
Do they just not play her anymore because she is "old" or they have no interest in her?

I think it's a pretty safe bet to say, no! I mean if she can't even get a hit with woman of the moment, Dua Lipa, then it's safe to say, Madonna's chart hitting days are over.

Does anyone know where and if this charted anywhere else?

In the US? Yes. They changed their chart rules from when artists would re-release their singles with a remix featuring new lyrics/guest appearances. This was due to JLO putting out I’m Real remix with JaRule back in 2001. They’re now counted as a separate entry.
They should do that in the UK as well, I'm fuming as I bought the remix and expect the remix to chart, I didn't buy the original version, in fact, I've never heard it.

Levitating remix debuts at no. 10 on Billboard Bubbling Under chart.
So is the remix classed as a different version to the original and charts separately?
-
Although I have to point out, Radio 1 aren't crediting Madonna and Missy Elliott, only Dua Lipa because apparently the remix gets credited to the original version, which is stupid. I didn't buy the original. I don't even know what the original version sounds like

Hallucinate is #39, not Levitating.

Yes, new entry at 39 in UK
First top 40 hit since Living For Love reached number 26 in 2015.

Down to 34 in UK Midweek chart. Be lucky if it goes top 40

Even Tina Turner is higher at 25

Number 33 in today's midweek chart. I don't reckon it's even going to make the top 40 ?

I think it does. They're listed as a partner on the official charts website so I assume that means they supply their sales and streaming data. I hope so anyway, that's where I buy my music too ?
Let's hope so. I'm going to buy it from Amazon on Wednesday.

I don't know. I only buy digital lossless files (never lossy formats like mp3). I've only found the FLAC version in 7digital.
I don't think it does count towards the chart. I hope you're streaming it ?

Waiting to buy the "Album Version" with Madonna's vocals added.
i'm joking... I bought the FLAC version two days ago in 7digital.
Does 7digital count towards the UK chart though?

I didn't see this on here and I am really interested to see where and if this song charts anywhere in the world and its sales.
The first official update chart from Radio 1.
Levitating isn't even in the top 20! Come on Madonna fans, where are you?

Did Madonna and Dua even talk at all?
Obviously we dont know what happened behind the scenes, but I will say it does bother me that Madonna goes out and about with these horrible and uninspired people like Nicki Minaj and Quavo, but when an artist like Dua collabs with her she can’t even like acknowledge it or praise Dua?
Maybe she's saving it for her birthday on Sunday

Hello, any Madonna fans on here?
Just wondering if I was on the right site as everyone is complaining about Madonna being on a new song that sounds fucking amazing. Of course it's not the same as the original, it's called a REMIX.
Anyway, I've listened to it once and that's it until tomorrow when I can do some serious streaming and buying and damage the UK charts.
