This video is the best thing about this whole project, actually feels artistic and M looks real and beautiful.
Such a shame the official photos for the spread we ended up with were so underwhelming in comparison. The over editing and the use of bizarrely low-quality images that are all pixelated and low- budget looking… expected better from Steven Klein.

Wish there was a better way to order these in the UK, I just can’t justify spending $26 on postage for a $14 magazine. Will just have to hope I can find one imported over here once released.

And in your opinion did the film come across how it did in the theatre? And do you think fans will respond to it better than the RH and MDNA tour films in terms of the over editing?

I’m really not sure where I’d want her to go sonically! She’s really covered so much already, maybe something more electronic to switch it up from Madame X potentially?
What I would like though is for the general vibe to be a bit more fun/light/celebratory. Don’t get me wrong I love Madame X and her darker side/themes (and obviously it does have some lighter songs like Medellin) but I think it would be a refreshing switch up to have an album that on the whole feels more fun, and it would also be more accessible to casual fans/the GP as well.

This is very intriguing! Especially all the hand written cues ‘kiss me’ ‘bite pearls’ ‘both arms up & sing’. She’s definitely up to something! She looks great. It’s giving me a mixture of Oscars, Justify My Love, Truth or Dare vibes.
Also what are those she’s smoking all the time now? Pretty much every new photo we get now she’s smoking the same thing…

I have nothing against a little enhancing on photos, everyone does it. But I just wish Ricardo would do it well…! It just feels so lazy, like he has a preset effect which pulls her jaw in to give her an alien shaped head, doubles the size of her eyes, and smooths her out to look like plastic. It just feels so rushed and low effort.
Any photo re-toucher’s basic ability is enhancing an appearance in such a way that way you can’t even tell it’s been edited. That’s just the basic skills surely. The way he edits is just so obvious to everyone, and that just reflects badly on M.

Especially if you’re going to do it to a photo we’ve already seen unedited (her and Kid Cudi) like come on.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with how she looked in the original, she looks great and like herself!
Only ever seeing photos of herself warped and distorted probably doesn’t do anything for her confidence when she looks in the mirror. And just makes people think she’s insecure so needs to edit them.I wish he’d just tone it down a bit. She looks like an alien

She looks way more herself here than on her IG. I wish Ricardo would tone down the photoshopping just slightly, then it wouldn’t seem like she’s actively trying to pretended she’s something she’s not when we see her in ‘real life’ at events like last night. Because she looks great, she doesn’t need all the softening and face-reshaping.
Also I would be very here for a Madonna & Doja collab!

I just really hope she’s styled well in something that works with her new uh… silhouette. I’m already having visions of her tits completely falling out of that oscars dress.
We know she can still serve up a 10/10 look though (those immaculate BBQ Instagram photos, hello!) so let’s hope for the best…

She’s done loads of things and had loads of what could be considered iffy or ugly looks in her career that would have fallen flat had they not been delivered with utter confidence and verve.

That’s all that’s missing, and in its place is this shell of paper thin “bitch queen artist trailblazer werq” facade.
Something is 100 off behind the curated image we see. When someone is hiring some one specifically to curate even the “real” portions of her life that we see on insta that’s a little questionable.
I mean some of the looks are fierce and I enjoy the playful aspect but…. She’s gone…. And I suppose that’s fine. What I do hope is that the biopic and rerelease schedules will finally canonise her and give her a sense of peace and celebration. Maybe that’s what she needs. Sadly I don’t think it’s in her nature to find total peace… which is the ending I wanted and dreamed of for her.
it’s not over yet and another part of me thinks she really is leaning into those fascinating post Hollywood silver screen years. Like those ageing female titans of the Hollywood golden years. I just wish M has the bite, wit and confidence some of those ladies still seemed to have in the golden years interviews.
I actually kind of want her to just go and leave peacefully and not worry about pleasing or shocking us… because it does feel like it’s for us now. And I used to like it when I felt she was on her own journey doing it for herself and we were just irrelevant spectators that she loathed.
I just want her to be happy and I see it in moments with her kids but there seems like something else is missing.
she’s given me so much.. too much, I want her to save some for herself.
This is so true thinking about it the next day. If she’d have completely owned those lines and had the classic Madonna attitude and bravado I don’t think there’d be nearly as much discussion. But because she seems insecure and nervous (for whatever reasons) it makes you feel like the image is all an act and not authentic to how she’s feeling, which in turn makes you feel uncomfortable.
But I do really love the opening VT (bar the over filtered close up…) it’s shot really well and that scene with all her iconic imagery covering Times Square. So brilliant, I hope we get a HQ version without the tv network tags.
Ultimately I think we’re always going to analyse her appearances way more than anyone else (they’ll just thing, whoa extreme outfit, when did she get a huge ass). I think it was really fitting and a nice tribute from MTV to have her be the opener.
My only remaining criticisms are nothing to do with the outfit, or how she should look or dress for her age etc. All I really care about is her health, and there is just no way the butt/boobs can be good for her spine or posture. I just fear it’s gonna cause her performing career/public appearances to come to an end much earlier than they should, which would just be such a huge shame. I can only hope she has someone saying this to her, but I fear she doesn’t. -

That's unnatural to her body.
It’s just so misguided, thinking she needs to look like this now, but then in a few years time ending up in a wheelchair from unnecessary damage to her spine… I love her so so much, I just wish she’d think about her future and the implications.

Like I’m not against her looking how she wants to look, but when she’s put so much effort in to recovery from her hip and knee issues, surely she’s just putting herself at risk for more problems by having that. That’s what’s annoying, is that she’s just going to end up damaging herself, when she’s always been such a stickler for being healthy and doing whatever she can to treat herself and her career right.

Have you tried AXS instead of Ticketmaster? Still loads available on there.
AXS is the official O2 ticket partner so seems to have had a much higher allocation of tickets than Ticketmaster for all the dates, but people tend to only go to Ticketmaster. I got mine through AXS really quickly for the second date, compared to the Ticketmaster queue which took forever.
