A lot of y’all are underestimating Bob. Incredibly funny queen and performer. Smart as fuck and political, as drag should be, and I can absolutely see why Madonna chose Bob out of all the RPDR queens. We don’t know how Bob will be utilized and y’all are foaming at the mouth to bring her down. Acting like some AI hologram of Madonna will show up every once in a while and Bob will be lip syncing every song.

I’ll Remember is probably the Madonna song I hear in US classic adult contemporary radio. Like the shit they play in grocery stores and gas stations.
For personal reasons it’s one of my fave Madonna tracks of all time.

I can see her coming out with a new summer single to celebrate the tour. Not an entire album. Max Martin and Stuart Price? Fuck yeah! But it’s more likely that he’s working on arrangements for the new tour.

I have 7 other siblings. I can’t imagine losing a single one of them. It’s must be painfully surreal experience to lose someone you have such a long shared bond with. My heart goes out to Madonna during this time. I hope the family finds healing.
I wish to God there was a pill one could take to cure their addiction. During the pandemic, the stress was too much for one friend of mine. I was the one who finally confronted him about it. He was stark raving mad that I did. Said the nastiest things to me. I just sat there and took it because even though his words hurt, I knew it was the addiction talking.
Cut to months later and I finally hear from him again. Turns out, he tried to quit cold turkey and it nearly killed him. His body couldn’t take it. Scared me half to death thinking I almost lost him. He thanked me for being the first person to confront him about his drinking. He’s still struggling though and my heart breaks for him.
All this to say that addiction is not black and white and it’s not easy for people to just walk away from it. Be kind.

Bobs has done some controversial things in the past. I'm so excited for Bob. When I lived in NYC, there was a weekly drag show called Saliva at The Ritz in Hell Kitchen. They would have pageants every so often. Before BOB went as BOB he went by MissKitten Withawhip. He performed a blackface number. I was SHOCKED! I couldn't believe it was happening. But it was smart. He was making a commentary about being a black queer man as he is one. He lost that night (I think to a queen named Titania Steel?) and I very specifically remember the face he made. He was upset and stood there for a bit as the crowd partied on. So to see him go from losing this silly little pageant to then not only winning Rupauls Drag Race and working his ass off to tour with Madonna?! I had nothing to do with his success but I can't help but feel proud of him. I do wonder if he'll pull that blackface number for this show. With cancel culture the way it is...yikes. I don't think people would get the nuance of it and we don't need more people mad at Madonna.

First show was Sticky & Sweet Philadelphia. Bought tickets two days before the show and I was piss poor broke. Took my boyfriend at the time. What a dickbag. Did not deserve to go. But I had a great time regardless. I remember she did Dress You Up for a guy named Adam that requested it.
2nd was MDNA Yankee Stadium. Ended up getting Golden Circle tickets after a week long debacle of losing my tickets. That’s a long story. After tweeting at Guy Oseary every hour on the hour, I got a pair of tickets. I’ll never forget how she pointed at me and shook my hand during LAP. All I could do was mouth thank you to her. I was SUPER gentle but her people slapped my hand away anyways. 😂 Fucking hurt.
3rd time was Madame X in Chicago. Heard the Chicago crowds were super fun but man that crowd was DEAD! My husbands first show and he thought it was fun and he loved her jokes.
and that’s same amazing husband surprised me with tickets to the Seattle show for the Celebration Tour. And not only that, he also bought me a pair of tickets to the Austin show so I could take my mom! He’s the best! It’ll be my 4th and 5th time seeing her.

Considering the current state of affairs in the US, with the alt right proud boys dickbags ramping up their ‘Gays are Groomers’ rhetoric and Madonna being a beacon and fighter LGBT rights, she’s an easy target. But that’s entering conspiracy territory. We don’t know. She’s always taken shit from the press.
And I am 100% sure Bob the drag queen is not going to be the only queen on the tour. Violet Chachki was also in the Pride performance and at the Grammys for Unholy. The drag queens will absolutely make the conservative critics BIG MAD with all this hoopla over drag queen story hour.

It’s no use and honestly just not worth it. You’ll get downvoted to oblivion and then your post is deleted. I just left the group. People will believe what they want to believe. For a community that preaches girl power, they really love to talk shit about Madonna. Coincidentally, it’s also their most active thread ever. Just proving the point that the patriarchy has most definitely influenced women to be awful to each other. I’ve never seen a thread so busy on there. And it’s a lot of Gen Z kids who have no idea her contributions. Which upsets me because for a generation so connected to tech, you’d think they might Google a little research. But no. Honestly, this whole thing just makes me laugh now. She appeared on a show for 2 minutes and the world is obsessed. Maybe not in the way we want but obsessed nonetheless. The rumors will always be there but truth will win out.

I get Botox and my lady makes sure that I get the results I want without it being too much. I have very expressive eyebrows and I was worried I’d lose the ability to emote. No problems here. There is a way to get a smooth face without it being overdone. I’m also 35 and for the most part have very little wrinkles. My lady even laughed at me when I wanted to start. ‘What am I even going to do for you?!’ But she agreed that prevention is best.
tbh I didn’t start doing it until my husband expressed interest in opening up his own clinic after grad school. I figured he better know what he’s going to be doing on people and in willing to be a Guinea pig. I like Botox because it fades after 6 months and you can get a touch up. But filler is the real issue. Your skin can be stretch so much that it can start to sag. And some filler you can’t dissolve. That’s what happened to Simon Cowell. He looks like a deflated balloon. I had to look him up after reading this thread. Haven’t kept up with him since the first American Idol, a show I never cared for. I did the cheek filler but I didn’t like it on me. That was about 6 months of a slight shelf on my face that made it more heart shaped. Didn’t hate it but…eh. However, I do love lip filler! Again, conservative is the way to go! I have a chronic medical condition that unfortunately made one side of my lip droop really bad. My lady told me that you can’t take anything out (like actual tissue) but can add filler. I love the final more symmetrical result. Big confidence boost for me.

She’s being ripped apart in the witchesvspatriarchy community on Reddit. And it’s a bunch of people who don’t have the deep dive knowledge that we have of her just making shit up. It’s resorted to that. And truth always wins out. So I’m not worried about this crap anymore. People have their ignorant opinions and won’t budge. Even if they’re complete lies. Even as far to say that she’s made anti lgbt comments. Like are you for real?!
I’m just going to look forward to the tour that I know she’ll slay.

And they double down on those awful child trafficking rumors. It’s so bad. But at the end of the day, I have my tickets. I’m going to go see the show with my husband and my mom, that he lovingly paid for and I’m going to have the time of my life.

the only reason I see this so because Bob is going to be the mc of the show kinda like the leading player in the musical Pippin. Idk it would make sense and be a really cool concept.

And she called out everyone for the awful judgmental comments they made about what she decided to do with her body should’ve it been real.

The tour is going to be hell on her body. I’m really rooting for her.
To be honest, I thought she looked and sounded great. This has been a huge upgrade from previous events. Vmas after her 60th…? Wow. Even the last vmas were she had to compose herself and almost tripped turning around. Yikes. Tho I did love the controversy.
One thing I do agree with another poster here is that social media is a drug and we should all get off of it. I think as a collective we’re going to realize this sooner or later. It’s a bad addictive drug. I’m on there defending her about she face with physically repulsive ppl comparing her to Pete Burns. People use social media as a bullhorn to air out their own frustrations and unhappiness with their own lives. They say things without realizing there are other people on the other side of the screen. I’m actually quite happy that Elon destroyed Twitter. It’s a cesspool of hate, bigotry and misinformation. I hope it starts a trend of people interacting more face to face. I can’t even get on TikTok without these young kids with no life experience having the most god awful takes and ready to cancel anyone that thinks outside their limited worldview. So many of them don’t even believe what they’re saying or knew about the latest chronically online take to parrot. And that goes for ‘both sides’ of whatever people want to argue about next.
