  1. I had an older cousin who used to introduce me to new music everytime she bought 7''!! I lived in a small french ghetto town and she lived in a bigger city, twas back in 1984. She played me "Holiday" and showed the german 7'' sleeve, told me about the choreos during performances on tv, we played the single most of this day. I had my mother buy me the single and it was done, my life would never be the same again, my doom was sealed and my future finances health were fucked too!!

I was obsessed by this woman, staring at the single sleeve while listening to both sides like a maniac (that album cover at the back got me mesmerized, her stare and attitude on the front cover...), I was 8 at that time, I acted like a demented child, looking at the sleeve day in day out, even got my mum worried... Used to sing the song out loud (badly and with non sense lyrics, I was only 8) all day, bothering my friends, even have tape recording of this, with friends complaining when they recognized the 1st notes. That's how obsessed I was!! Watched her on a french TV show Super Platine but my tv wasn't a colour one so I found out about the colourful quality of this TV performance way later!! I was the only one who knew her in my small french city.

"Borderline" and "Lucky Star" did not have a release in france, "Like A Virgin" and "Material Girl" were not as big as in most countries!! When "Into The Groove" got released, it became crazier!! I had another single to play on a roll with my "Holiday" one!

I started collecting from the "True Blue" album and singles and never stopped since...

Oh, the remix/edit is a little longer (4:06) than the original single (3:58). Now you can hear "El dijo que te ama" without being cut in the fade out.

Am I the only one who noticed the error in sound @ 3m25 mark (this is where...)?? Same left channel drop than the file on the 1987 compilation (https://www.discogs.com/master/11667-Various-The-Hits-Album-6). Glitch that is not heard on the dutch compilation https://www.discogs.com/release/649582-Various-Hits-Album-6.

I cannot accept that warner would use old ass hits comps files to sell as digital releases... Anyone else noticed???

Id be curious to hear the story as to why some of the mixes use the GTI vocals on a "Fever" remix.

Why would they be supplied the VOX for that track? Were there plans to release it with Fever remixes?

The fact that a dub of an unreleased track 9GTI) showed up on a commercial single is a weird move. Like, no one knew it was a dub of GTI at first.

Maybe the same as having some 'Thrill Me'' vocals on some of the Erotica remixes... They musta received the whole studio sessions vocals and decided to use them... What a treat it was for the fans!!...  Twas such a creative era and one of the most underground and fabulous set of remixes!!

Yeah, the edit of "Everybody" on Celebration was made new for Celebration. The original single version was 4:57 (well the American one was at least) and the Celebration version is 4:11. It's a good edit, but it's still jarring for me to listen to personally because I've listened to the 4:57 version about 8 trillion times before Celebration came out.

I'm afraid you're confused, the 4m57 is the lp cut, the Everybody edit is a 3m58 chopped up edit from the extended mix.

I don't know, we may want to collectively re-examine that. It sounds like the 5:10 7" Version With Fade from the Japanese CD Singles Collection has the same strings and guitar solos around 4:50-5:10 that are on the 7" Version, but not on the album version.

    What does everyone else think?

I've listened to them so many times, I can assure you that the version featured on the cd singles collection is the LP version fading early, no Prince guitar on it... On the contrary, the 3''cd single in snap pack contains the 7'' version with guitars and all... I've read somewhere that there were two different editions of this snap pack, one containing the 7'' version with Prince guitar parts, the other the LP cut fade, which may explain with the Japanese cd singles collection features the LP fade... Can someone with better knowledge can clarify this???...

Either Tina’s fiancé cheated on her, Janet knew about it, and decided not to tell Tina. Or Janet’s husband was cheating on her (honestly, not an unlikely scenario), Tina knew about it, and decided not to tell Janet. The song “You ain’t right” is about this, and Janet sings that she was stabbed in the back.

I heard about the Tina guy but cannot believe they fell out just over some cheating guy matter, such a lame reason... What a waste, Tina was one of her best choreographers, EVER!!

Thanks for the answer, and a million thanks for the amazing files you share!!!

If it was, it was one hell of a time for Janet because during that same tribute she also danced with a woman who was her best friend and she had a huuuuge falling out with.

Do we actually know why she had a falling out with fantastic Tina???? Cannot be only cause of this cheating guy, was it??

that would be great, but i can't cancel  my other tickets, right?

Nope! You can resell them, I'm sure they'll be in handy to some other fan. As for every pre-sales, there are allowances for each cat then they add some more randomly, always worked like this! I'm sure there will be some tickets on the GP sale!! They love to pressure us!
