Madonna to perform in one-off concert in Taipei

“Queen of Pop†Madonna is to perform in Taiwan for the first time in February next year, a local promoter said yesterday.

The US superstar is to stage just one concert on Feb. 4 at the Taipei Arena, according to Live Nation Taiwan, the show’s local promoter.

Tickets for the concert, which is part of Madonna’s worldwide “Rebel Heart Tour,†are to go on sale at 11am on Saturday next week, the organizers said.

Prices range from NT$800 to NT$16,800, with VIP group packages sold at NT$30,000 for seated areas and NT$27,000 for standing tickets.

Rumors of a Madonna concert in Taiwan had been circulating since last month, but organizers had declined to confirm the reports, saying an announcement would be made yesterday.

However, on Sunday, a poster advertising the concert’s date and location was inadvertently put up earlier than scheduled at a 7-Eleven store.

The Rebel Heart Tour, the 10th worldwide concert tour by Madonna, follows the March 6 release of her album Rebel Heart. The tour began on Wednesday last week in Canada and goes through Europe and Asia, concluding on March 27 next year with a concert in Brisbane, Australia.

Live Nation Taiwan said that tickets for the Taipei concert would be available at 7-Eleven ibon kiosks and online at http://ticket.ibon.com.tw.

It's great to see that fans from the Far East will have the chance to attend one of her concerts. Madonna kept them waiting for centuries, she better give her best to make the wait worth. Something that I feel strange though is the non-presence of rumours about Korea, there's a huge pop idolizing culture there as well  :stare:

Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour breaking records in Taiwan and Hong Kong

Hong Kong citibank presale started today and all the tickets were gone within minutes. Rumour has it that there’re not many tickets left for the public sale.

Taiwan citibank presale has crashed their ticketing system with a record-breaking 81,000 people fighting for tickets.

She broke Big Bang’s previous record of 70,000 on the line.

Madonna has received praise for her Rebel Heart Tour, getting five star reviews from reputable critics such as Rolling Stone, The guardian, and the Swedish & Canadian press, naming her the one performer who after many years is still on a league of her own and praising her vocals & musicality.

Madonna to perform in Singapore in February

http://www.tnp.sg/m/music/music-news/madonna-perform-singapore-february?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook

Madonna fans, rejoice!

The Queen of Pop might be heading to our shores next year.

According to her website, she will perform here  on Feb 28 at the National Stadium.

The website has also given details of the concert pre-sale of tickets which starts on Thursday (Dec 17) at 10am, exclusively for fans who purchase the Icon Live Pass for $20.

The pass includes membership into the official Madonna worldwide fan club ICON and access to the ticket pre-sale on Thursday (limited to four tickets per person), among others.

Tickets sales open on Dec 22.

But the local organisers have yet to confirm the date of the concert.

It will be the 57-year-old's first time here after she was banned from performing her  controversial Girlie Show World Tour in 1993.

Last month, local concert promoter IMC Live told The Sunday Times of its plans bring the US superstar's ongoing Rebel Heart tour here for a one-night concert.

Madonna to perform in Singapore at National Stadium, date to be announced

http://www.straitstimes.com/lifestyle/entertainment/madonna-to-perform-in-singapore-at-national-stadium-date-to-be-announced

Pop star Madonna is set to perform in Singapore for the first time. It will probably happen this year at the National Stadium, but a date has not been set.

In a Facebook post, Mediacorp VizPro, the local coordinator of the concert, confirmed that the American star's ongoing Rebel Heart tour will make a stop here.

The police has confirmed that a licence has been issued for the concert.

Previously, the Singapore date was listed as Feb 28 on the singer's official website before it was taken down.

The 57-year-old American singer was banned from performing her controversial Girlie Show World Tour here in 1993, when police said her performances in the tour show "border on the obscene... (and are) known to be objectionable to many on moral and religious grounds".

If confirmed, Singapore is one of several stops as part of the tour's Asian leg, which includes Japan, Hong Kong, Taipei, Macau, Bangkok and Manila. Both dates in Hong Kong are sold out.
