This is my favorite Madonna tour of all time! There is just something about it that's just so pure and so full of magic. Not even going to be redundant about the insane amount of ENERGY she shared to the world during this tour!
When I think of one of my favorite performances ever from Madonna, it would have to be from the Who's That Girl Tour: it's got to be "Lucky Star."
Man, when I think of the word ENERGY and BRILLIANCE, this performance comes to mind. I love the rearrangements, those heavy reverbs of the snare drum that was perfect for stadiums, and that BASS!
That dance she does in the beginning with her back to the audience then sultrily goes lower and then boom - she just bursts into a power machine as she starts singing so intensely and powerfully. I'm not even going to start with how fuckin amazing her vocals are - guttural, raw, mighty, and deep. And how about when she throws herself to the floor during the bridge? Then prance-skips back to the mic stand with so much swagger finishing off the song with that dance move only Madonna can execute.
If there was one moment in history I can go back to and relive, it would have be on the night of September 4th, 1987. I love this tour so much!
My favorite moment is at 02:20! Ugh the coolness, the swagger

    AMAZING TOPIC @Enrico!
Wish I could've lived and seen that time when M was universally loved and when it wasn't shameful! It's amazing to even consider to think today that straight men LOVED Madonna in the 80s and that it was okay... but then again this was because of her "sexiness" that she unabashedly showed, as was mentioned here. After LAP and during the BAT/Vogue periods, I see why she became a signature GAY ICON for sure... it goes without saying. I do believe her involvement with HIV/AIDS activism gave many gay men a sense of comfort, power, and guidance BACK WHEN IT WAS EVEN SHAMEFUL TO TALK ABOUT AIDS.
Growing up in a strictly conservative, traditional, CATHOLIC country (The Philippines), Madonna was seen as a gay thing. Yes... at 9 years old I was already aware of how gay she is LOL. I remember being so discreet about listening to her and definitely very careful about watching "The Immaculate Collection" videos. It was just widely known by the late 90s/early 2000s that Madonna was just... GAY. I've come a long way from hiding my obsession for Madonna because of my strict Catholic Filipino upbringing to really being outspoken and publicly expressing my love for her now that I live in the USA.
Here in the US, I feel MADONNA is more widely considered a GAY ICON without shame, thanks to the liberal tendencies of this country. Now it's just a little saddening she has been getting the ageist attacks -- I think only here in the USA is where ageism really hits her hard cause I know "aging" is much more appreciated and respected mostly anywhere outside the U.S./North America.
But yeah... MADONNA was already setup to be a GAY thing since even before she started. Gay men love their rare strong female characters that embody beauty, glamour, strength and escapism that help them get through adversities in their lives. Indeed, someone like that is rare and Madonna fits that. For sure she may be the first actual GAY ICON in today's music history (of course CHER but c'mon... MADONNA is gayerrrrr!)
Still alive and will never stop! LONG LIVE!

Ikr. And think about all the people who died before Madonna was born. We really shouldn't complain about anything. We're lucky and blessed even if we lose all our savings on a poorly planned tour. Thank the almighty!

Worse things have happened to people than their tour dates being canceled . People lose their family through wars, accidents... people lose what they’ve worked for all their lives through no fault of their own too.
We’ll find out soon enough why things are the way they are. Till then let’s be decent human beings and pray and hope she’s fine and assume her team are doing everything in their power to do what’s right.

All this is making me feel so sad these days. On one hand, I hope that M is recovering and that she will be back stronger than ever, because her health is the most important aspect.
On the other hand, if the European leg will be canceled too, the whole situation is worse than expected. And this will be the second time that I will miss her seeing live on stage. And I have never had the opportunity to see her live  the first time I got tickets for M was during the Madame X Tour in Paris and she canceled my show just two hours before start.
So again, I know that M needs to rest because her health is the most important thing right now, but I can also understand the disappointment among fans. Let's hope for the best for both us fans and M

We have all been playing "clue" since the news broke on M's condition, it has been a week! Due to the lack of ANY official follow up to Guy's statement, one can't help but go deeper and deeper (no pun) into the rabbit hole with every single tabloid report. We see Rocco smiling (good sign), we see the dancers at a hotel by Nassau (rehearsals resumed), we see Riccardo posting a pic of her dog ON WOOD FLOORS (she must be recovering in the Hamptons), we see Rosie responding with positive news on her being string (Great news), we see Rocco being back in London (assuming new photo, she must be doing MUCH better otherwise he wouldn't have left NY), we see this and that and we form our own narratives and yet, NONE of us know what exactly is going on BTS.
As much as I think Guy is horrible at managing her overall (exception was when he filmed me singing LAP at MDNA and put in onto the DVD), I honestly think his hands are tied in this situation. He is most likely told by M to not provide any further updates until she is certain on how SHE would like to proceed with the tour. Madonna will ALWAYS be in charge. I bet the last 10 days have probably been the toughest on her both physically and mentally, she has never played the victim and she will not start now.
Our patience is waning, but let's keep the faith and may the angels surround her to protect and watch over her.

No. Please don’t close it. People need a way to talk about all of this and try to piece together what we can especially when her team won’t update. If there are some people who object, just don’t come to this thread. I really appreciate everyone’s thoughts and the info they’ve gathered. It helps a lot to help get us through. Hang in there All. She’ll be back to us with a vengeance soon. You’ll see. 💝🙏💝🙏🪩💃🪩💃

I cant imagine what M is going through. I feel for her. Honestly. Yes as fans we deserve some form of transparency -- however I'm sure M feels incredible guilt about all of this. Wish her all the best. I hope the press calms the f down.

At the risk of causing controversy, I’ve understood that it’s probably best that I personally take a step back right now from forum contributions. In frankness, at this stage I have a feeling that the reason we are not hearing anything about Madonna is because the circumstances of her health crisis are more complex. I’m happy that she is recovering, but I also think that tabloid “journalists” rarely make such serious claims without having some sort of verifiable source due to libel laws.

I will gladly be wrong should that turn out to be the case.

I hope we can all find peace of mind during this period of time. It’s been difficult for everyone, but I have faith that Madonna will recover and get the support she needs.

cosmicarlo818 got a reaction from Confessions Lightside in Madonna's Mole: what really happened to it?
    First Madonna Infinity topic!

(I saw this was discussed last year on this forum... but let's really delve into it you guys!  )

Okay I truly want to get this straight. Madonna's iconic, beautiful, striking above the right upper lip nevus has been part of her "signature" "classic" "old school" look since her career began. While many thought it was painted on or even fabricated/tattooed on, her iconic "beauty mark" has been one of her unique identifiers. I'm actually quite mesmerized by it.

However, I noticed the mole started not making its appearance since around after Truth Or Dare (1991 to 1992) and was seemingly completely "erased" during the Erotica era onward. Many speculate she had it laser-removed for cosmetic reasons and many think she simply just started putting heavy makeup over it.

Let me add that Madonna seems to also have had another bigger nevus removed from when she was an infant/toddler for possible medical reasons. The removal scar was on her lower right inner cheek and was somewhat visible on some photos/videos in the 80s like in the 1st pic above including this and this

In recent eras from COADF until MDNA, I would see the mole very faintly faded when you zoomed in on HQ photos of her in public or by the press.

Much to my delight and happiness, the mole made its public appearance again since 1992/1993 during the L'Uomo Italian Vogue magazine photoshoot. I was dying of joy seeing it again.

My question is... what truly happened to her iconic mole? Why did she "erase" it? What were her reasons for removing it? Is it still there? Let's see what we can dig up and come to a conclusion with!

Actually she's of french (canadian) and italian descent. Both are part of the latin Europe (France, Italia, Spain, Portugal, Romania) and the original latins were from central Italia where Pacentro (Madonna's italian ancestries village) is located. So she's of latin blood if not latina

MADONNA COMING FOR HER BAD BUNNY ERA! FUCK YASSSSSSSS!
I have a feeling the video will be inspired by Benito Martinez himself who is undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in the U.S.A. and around the world today!
And before you say shit about Bad Bunny (mostly non-Hispanics on here, or those who are not aware of the huge popularity of Latin Pop/Reggaeton here in the U.S.A. in the last 6 years), Bad Bunny has been inspired by Madonna lately and she even started following him earlier this year! Reminding you as well that Bad Bunny's new album has been the most-streamed album of the year and globally. So  yeah, before non-brown people talk shit!
DEMBOW MADONNA, LATINA MADONNA, LET'S FUCKING GO!
Update: Yes I am Filipino, and the biggest Bad Bunny (& Latin Pop) stan since forever! I always get excited when Madonna does Latin/Hispanic-inspired stuff!

I imagine EUROPEANS are not keen on Latino and/or Reggaeton except maybe for Spain???
But maybe Europeans are just... Euro-centric just to put it safely.
But here in the U.S.A. and of course Latin America and even among Koreans and Filipino-Americans, he is very popular. Maybe it's cause the U.S.A. is becoming more Latino by the minute and a lot of young Latinos support him and his messages. It's cause he breaks the stereotypes for a macho, Latino man, he also has spoken up for trans and female injustices and millennials and Gen Z love that of course! We love him for it.
He's Madonna in a lot of similar ways!
