    Madonna had an US #1 album with "Madame X" at 60. "Tension" didn't even enter the US Top 20. "Medellín" numbers are not far from "Padam Padam"'s ones, actually the video is way higher on YouTube. Madonna's "Finally Enough Love" album has already been 40 weeks in the UK charts, her longest run in years, while Kylie's last similar run was in 2004 with "Ultimate Kylie" (44 weeks).

    "Popular" numbers s**t all over "Padam Padam" figures. Madonna is about to start a sold out worldwide tour. Kylie last worldwide tour was in 2015 and with half empty venues.

    The list is endless. That's why I don't get the comparisons, except for the public image one. If you want to like an artist that pleases everyone, then Madonna maybe is not for you, and yeah, Kylie suits that better.

    I love both, but you’re really comparing songs with MASSIVE relevant artists to Kylie’s solo songs….

    Popular is solely that successful cause of The Weeknd, why are we pretending it’s not

She's also probably the only one female singer over 50yo who's new material is played on radio in Europe, which is an achievement. Add to that she's always kept being classy, makes good music, most of it really "feel good" and danceable, explores different styles as for her music or her looks. She's also a very good business woman who has taken some clever decisions regarding the rights of her music and her back catalog. I known many Madonna fans tend to see Kylie Minogue as a nice puppet with no personnality, and i admit i was one of them for most of my life. Lately i just took the time to explore her music catalog with attention and put my interest into her personna and what i have found is that not only the woman is really clever, but also that damn, her music catalog is absolutely amazing and pretty solid. The woman explores many genres like pop-rock, accoustic, RnB, Disco, Dance, house, electro, ballads... And the productions are sublime. She also promotes her stuff with a real passion (after 35 years it's bloody amazing), she makes quality music videos, put on great promo shows and tours, always sings live and very well. Really, and i mean it, since i have taken a closer interest in her career and her work i have been pleasantly surprised and i enjoy what i see and hear. Kylie deserved every ounce of success she has. In the end she's one the smartest one.
