Why is the “Rain” b roll footage in color if it was supposedly shot in black and white

I always wondered the same thing as this thread, glad we have all agreed its bogus.

 

If it were to be hand painted, we would have known because not every brush stroke would look the same from frame to frame.

I think they just did some color grading, which makes the colors pop.
