At the 9:55 mark is the only time I see a small dark moving/scurrying figure (reflected through the mirror behind her). I don't buy it's a "rat", but I can see why someone might think it could be.  But as you pointed out, it happened just as she threw the paper.

It's 100% the paper - there are quite a few points in the video when you see something blurry in the mirror, and it's always when she's just thrown the paper down to her left hand side.

It was kind of random, the fiorst add featured an ant if I'm not mistaken, and the idea was just to make a catchy song so that peopleo would memorize the phone number... Then the second add featured the rat and for some reason it worked better and voilá! It was the new mascot.

Great times when Advertisement was more of a matter of letting professionals create pieces that would almost reach art level instead of having creativity being crushed beneath the wheel of corporate branding and what's trending....
