It has been so long since I posted, but I have missed you guys (and Queens:  pun intended).  My original polls concerning comparing the songs on different albums did not go as I wanted it to go (my format, not your opinions:  I love talk about Madonna).  So, until I re-think exactly what I was trying to do, I wanted to let you know that I am here.  Here's a fun poll:  pick your favorite Madonna song from MY PERSONAL top 20.  Tell me why:  as I said, the more talk about THE QUEEN the better.

Vogue - because it's the song, I immediately fell in love with. Great for dancing and fun for singing. Very catchy song with a great attitude

Interesting top 20! I'll go with The Look Of Love. It sounds so refreshing for me, it puts me in such an ease whenever I listen to it; it's almost magical.

That was way too difficult. I had to go with Die Another Day. Still one of my favorite videos of hers and I remember hearing it on the radio constantly when it was out. Time Stood Still, Nobody Knows Me, Frozen, I'll Remember and Vogue are very close contenders for me as well.

Wow that's an amazing list. For me personally Nobody Knows Me captures the building tension, anger, frustration, sadness, and hurt from being judged by people who think they know you. The song goes even furthur than just expressing all those feelings. It is difiant in not allowing judgement to dictate ones sense of self. It acknowledges the hurt as well as being strong.

 

I am not sure if it's technical or just "my ear" that hears it but the song seems to rise in volume at it goes along.

I voted for I'll remember... Such an underrated song, although the video is one of her worst, a bad copy of Rain...

The song is so simple, yet so true. It is about love but also about self esteem, about confidence and understading and consciousness.

It says a lot about me.

I voted Keep it Together. By far the single remix and BAT tour version just make this song. Plus most of the remixes work and the 2 bridges are so great to sing. I wish she would do it again.
