Isn't GloboPlay available in more than 20 countries? They said US, Australia, Canada, the UK, and some 20+ other European countries

The first album, especially since it was made when she wasn’t famous; Her image and music hadn’t been widely exposed to public opinion. I’d probably swap out the album version of “borderline” with the single remix then watch the potential fan’s eyes glaze over as I explain why Madonna insisted on remixing the single with jellybean after Reggie Lucas peaced out on additional production since he’d fulfilled his contractual album obligations.

Like you, I'd probably suggest the Celebration album due to it has nearly all her biggest impacting hits. In a lot of cases, people who aren't familiar with Madonna's catalog, they most likely have heard a few songs from her in their life time, but didn't really pay much mind to realize who was singing. I knew a couple back in the 80's that made Crazy For You "their song", when dating, but they never paid much mind who was actually singing. It wasn't until I told them that it was Madonna, they knew it was her. This was in 1987 when most everyone knew who she was and knew her music to some degree. Chances are most people who aren't familiar with Madonna, may have heard songs like Holiday, Like A Prayer and/or Vogue a few times, not realizing who was singing the song.

Yes. The amount of numbers it was requiring didn't fit the way we list our numbers. Luckily there was an option to leave it for an update later. However, each time I tried to bypass it, it kept sending me to an error page. Eventually, when I reset my password, I was able to by pass submitting my number. Anyway, I am able to access the site and content without no issues of now. Keep in mind everything remains locked until you switch to a Brazilian VPN server.

Ooof! Thankfully I didn't have that challenge when I signed up, but thank you for sharing your experience and how you got around it - I'll update the post to mention it. Was this with a US/North American phone number (if you don't mind me asking)?

Depending on the age of that person, I'd advise either The First Album / TIC / Music / FEL.

After a few attempts, I was able to successfully sign up for free on Globoplay. It kept asking for a cellular number to add more security to the account, but the numbers it wants is not equal to how my number is displayed, but I was able to bypass that by selecting I would set it at a different time. However, it kept taking me to an "oops page". I had to reset a password to my account (which I never originally set when first signing up) and it finally worked. Note: all programing will be locked, so if you try to play something it won't let you until you switch to a Brazilian VPN server.

I wouldn't start with a studio album. I would just recommend the 2 cd version of Celebration or the DVD (or the Confessions tour DVD) and then let that person decide which tracks/eras to start discovering. The easy answer would be telling Confessions, Ray Of Light, True Blue or Music but all her albums are so different from each other that starting from a compilation would give that person a bigger perspective to choose where to start from (that's why I also mentioned the music DVD and the Confessions Tour, Madonna's visuals are increible).

Must have been $340 Canadian dollars because the jacket was always $250 US dollars in her store. But even so 300 Canadian at the show is a great deal. Especially with no added tax and shipping

If you not familiar with someone's music, just start from the begin. Madonna have diverse discography, you could see how she evolved from album to album, it's the only way to know her music

Just to compile the information shared thus far into one post: FOR THOSE OF US OUTSIDE OF BRAZIL WHO WISH TO WATCH THE SHOW/BROADCAST LIVE: 1. THE SHOW WILL BE BROADCAST ON TV GLOBO & MULTISHOW. YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE A GLOBOPLAY ACCOUNT. The show will be broadcast on TV Globo (a free TV channel in Brazil) and on Multishow (a paid for channel in Brazil). We currently expect that the TV Globo (free) broadcast will start closer to the show start time, whereas the Multishow (paid) broadcast should include Diplo’s full DJ set, etc. We can expect to see the programme listing here by Wednesday 1st May/Thursday 2nd May, and on the day, there should be a banner on Globoplay. You can create a free Globoplay account to gain access to TV Globo here. Alternatively, you can sign up and pay to gain access to Multishow here with the ‘Globoplay + canais’ subscription. Please note: You will be asked to provide your telephone number as the final step of the sign-up process. I was unaffected by this, but the input field seems to restrict the number of digits you can enter, which may present an issue with some international telephone numbers. There should be an option to skip entering your phone number and set it at a different time, but you may need to select this more than once. If - for any reason - this results in you being presented with an error page, doing a password reset seems to resolve the issue. 2. YOU WILL NEED TO USE A VPN THAT HAS BRAZILIAN SERVERS. Due to copyright restrictions and geo-restriction, you will need to use a VPN that enables you to connect to Brazilian servers in order to watch TV Globo or Multishow. Even if you've created your free Globoplay account or signed up to the 'Globoplay + canais' subscription (as detailed above), you will not be able to watch TV Globo or Multishow unless you are connected to Brazilian servers. Commonly recommended VPNs include NordVPN and Surfshark due to the range of servers available and fast download/upload speeds. Both of these do charge a small monthly fee, but come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you sign up for either now and do not wish to use them beyond the broadcast, you can cancel and get your money back. Not sure how to set up and use a VPN? On the day of the broadcast, you will need to ensure you have connected to a Brazilian server/set your location to Brazil via your VPN.
