Everybody here acting like if Donna and Nicky didn't share the stage with her for at least 5 tours... they had their time with her and more than other collaborators. Move on, like Madonna did.

I am so glad we have KIT on digital platforms, is one of ther most beatufiul single to me.
But, i wish they did the comprehensive work they did with Frozen or Bedtime Story, including ALL the versions, especially the 7''Remix, the cold ending is everything!!!

Funny little detail: Madonna's Spotify Top 10 now showcases the new 2024 Remaster of "Material Girl" cause it matches the "Celebration" version (previously showcased and the one getting +400M):

This is all automatic, of course.
How does it work, usually, when a track is merged and matched on different releases? It usually takes the album, if it's attached to an album, and in that case the first release date. Then singles, and then compilations. I think that's the reason why this new single version has taken over, cause "Single" to their own system is above "Compilation" in range.
If someday they merge the "Like A Virgin" album version with the single version and the "Celebration" version (and the "Finally Enough Love" version), then the "Like A Virgin" version should be showcased, I think.

There's zero evidence/proof that Mike Dean was the one behind the "Gambler" digital remaster, I don't think he was. Mike Dean officially remastered and was credited on:
- "Finally Enough Love" -> great job in general except for "Open Your Heart" and a couple more.
- "Everybody" 40th Anniversary 12'' Vinyl -> not credited on the digital 7'' edit version, I don't think that other one was him.
- "The Immaculate Collection" Dolby Atmos Mix
"True Blue 35th", "Gambler" and all the other single remasters must be just Rhino inner team and/or M's team. No one is officially credited on those for that role. They're not proper remasters but boosting and EQ.
Tip: when no official name is credited on a remaster, usually it's because it's the label inner team or an automatic/AI thing -> worth or better not to mention. If someone is paid to do it, like Mike Dean was on those three projects mentioned above, they're always credited.

Love the acapella. However, I still can't figure out if it's Abel or Madonna who does the opening spoken bit....

€140 for a t-shirt (plus postage and packing) is bananas expensive. Catering only to her wealthy fans once again is very sad to see. Sis doesn't seem to realise that Raising Malawi would benefit far more from a sales rush if she sold them for €50 instead. Sigh. Next...

This is a very narrow viewpoint on what's happening. Songs were generally 2-3 minutes in length back in the 50s and 60s before people blamed technology for songs being short, so what is happening with song lengths in 2024 is not actually a new development. See 'All Out 60s' on Spotify as an example.
Second of all, whilst the attention span of the general public has become very short, and nobody wants to listen to 6 minute songs anymore, this is less to do with TikTok and more to do with the volume of things coming at us in any given hour of the day. We are permanently contactable, always 'online', juggling 20 tabs on the desktop at all times and have access to every piece of news media in the world within minutes. Til Tok plays a part of this cycle, but it is not the cause of it. Our minds are just constantly on the information superhighway.
Finally, shorter songs ain't all bad - the need for speed can actually have a positive impact on how to get a point across in a short time span without padding things out unnecessarily. Listen to Tate McRae's "Greedy" which has 3 verses and 3 choruses in 2m 11s!! Yet it doesn't necessarily feel like she's short changing anyone. They were just clever in the writing process and packed an awful lot in to a short space. Hence your claim that TikTok has "ruined music" is a ridiculous statement that doesn't look outside of your own immediate environment. Perhaps it has changed the charts quite a bit, but music wasn't ruined when electric instrumentation came along, it wasn't ruined when synthesisers came along, it wasn't ruined when MTV came along and it certainly won't be ruined by a social media app. It will, however, constantly evolve as society dictates.

I wish the single version was more well known on streaming, I would have thought it offered more "punch" to streamers than the drawn out longer mix.

Yes, after 3 weeks of chart increases following its placement on all the end of year playlists, it is now off ACR in the UK so its steams have a greater impact on its chart position. I think it has another week of increases in it although some big new entries incoming for next week as well, so we'll see.
