The BRIT Awards to be streamed on YouTube for those outside the UK

According to Stereoboard, the Brit Awards are aiming to reach as large a digital audience as possible this year with YouTube streaming the event to those outside the UK.

 

Radio 1 stars Dan and Phil will be presenting the official BRITs YouTube live stream. They’ll be joined by fashion and beauty vlogger Patricia Bright. The event will also engage Twitter users as the winner of British Artist Video will be determined by a social media vote.

 

The Brit Awards 2015 takes over London’s O2 Arena on February 25. The event will be hosted by Ant and Dec. Performing on the night will be Madonna, Paloma Faith, George Ezra, Royal Blood, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

The rehearsals for the Brit Awards will make Madonna skip her own post-Oscar party this year, according to Page Six.

 

The party thrown by the Queen of Pop with her manager Guy Oseary has been Hollywood’s hottest in recent years, thanks to its no-press rule.

As a former guest explains, “people go to the Vanity Fair party to be photographed – then they go to Madonna’s to party in private.â€But even if our girl will be busy rehearsing for Wednesday’s performance at the O2 Arena in London, a Page Six source promise that the LA party “is still happening†and will be “as star-studded and private as ever.â€

 

Away from the Oscars, Madonna’s readying for the March release of her album, Rebel Heart. So, along with playing at the Brit Awards – where she hasn’t performed in 20 years she has quite a few other things keeping her busy, as her rep explains to Page Six:

Madonna has been committed to performing on The Jonathan Ross Show as well as various other promotion for months.Any Madonna performance naturally requires a lot of rehearsal – like Tina Turner says, ‘We never do nothin’ nice and easy.’ And, “I’m told that there will be as many stars as ever at mega manager [Oseary’s] party.

Earnest rehearsals for a live performance at the forthcoming Brit Awards appeared to have taken their toll on pop stalwart Madonna as she stepped out on Sunday evening.

 

The 56-year-old will receive the Lifetime Achievement award when the annual show kicks off at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday evening.

 

But as she emerged following a choreographed rehearsal at the cavernous venue, Madonna looked drained and in need of a good night’s sleep.

Curiously, the singer held what appeared to be a small pocket sized nebulizer – an inhaler commonly used to alleviate respiratory conditions such as asthma.

 

With the item held in her right hand, workaholic Madonna took a short break before resuming her preparations for the annual event.

The singer is believed to be performing songs from her Rebel Heart album during what will be her first Brits performance in 20 years.
