If the track list for FEL was

  1. Holiday
  2. Like A Virgin
  3. Material Girl
  4. Into The Groove
  5. Open Your Heart
  6. Like A Prayer
  7. Express Yourself
  8. Vogue
  9. Justify My Love
  10. Frozen
  11. Ray Of Light
  12. Music
  13. Hung Up
  14. Give It 2 Me
  15. Girl Gone Wild
  16. Bitch Im Madonna
  17. Medellin

we might have ....and I stress might...have some cause for comparison.

So Imma have to immaculate all the way.

Further proof that a single disc Madonna greatest hits is pure shenanigans. The quality is too much. and the above wouldn't even be it.

Well that would have been a great tracklist!

This wouldn’t really make sense because up until JML this is too similar to Immaculate Collection.
After all it’s a remix collection and all those 80s mixes sound very similar to the album versions or the inaccurate versions.
And I like the fact that they included her very first single (even if I’m not a fan of it and it charted 5 years after release) and the very last. Medellin wouldn’t be a good album closer.
And they included Living For Love over BIM because that’s one of the few exclusives on this project. And even if BIM charted better at the time none of them are huge hits and they’re pretty interchangeable.
And of course they’d include 4 Minutes over GI2M since that was her last real hit song.

I think both FEL and TIC are far from perfect but compilations like this never are. There’s always tough decisions and painful omissions on them.
