Like A Prayer is definitely tops for most people and rightfully so.  It's just masterful pop music of the time and still resonates with so many people.  Of course, hard core fans will try to choose lesser known songs as their favorites, but even I can't deny the excellency of Like A Prayer.  And I loved she married such a perfect song with a controversial video which will be equally remembered.

It got a looooot of airplay, I'm not really surprised it's widely appreciated since it's such a good solid pop song.

Tells a lot about the demographics of BBC2 listeners though.
