Seeing as some of her remixes became the definitive versions of her singles, there is definitely a purpose and desire from the fanbase. I mean look at the Ultra Violet edit of ROL...it's literally the version she's doing on the tour celebrating her 40 years and also a few years ago Tracy's remix of Crave became such a moment that's the version she performed on tour. Stuart's remix of Hollywood is iconic due to the VMAs performance. I could understand if she wasnt the artist with the most #1s on the dance chart or used them for iconic performances but she's definitely utilized remixes her entire career and they are just as important as the main versions. Also in 2024 ain't nobody got time for CDs. Just isnt practical and those living in the modern times want their collection on streaming.

    I disagree.

Plenty of people prefer to buy a physical product.

I don't trust streaming one second. It's there for a while, and then, as soon as a deal expires, it's gone.
Or what about when you have to subscribe to a streaming site? Pay money, over and over.

The few albums that I'd love to listen to in Dolby Atmos are Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual and Madonna's The Immaculate Collection. The wau y it is now, I have to pay a monthly sum to do that. I prefer to buy the Blu-Ray, and only pay once, and have it done.

When you have a physical product, you can enjoy it for the rest of your life. :)

Veronica Electronica but all  NEW remixes by current artists.

Dear heavens, spare us from that kind of horror.

Cyndi Lauper included "new remixes by current artists" on the 30th Anniversary reissue of She's So Unusual, and people on superdeluxeedition.com went ballistic!
Especially since Cyndi also left out remixes from the era in favor of these new horrid mixes.

Since then, when someone does something like that on a reissue, we say that they Lauperfied the reissue.

I think William Orbit could go in and dig out some unedited versions, and do his tweaking on other songs, and release it on a Deluxe edition of Ray Of Light.

curious to know if there are some remixes from that project....... Veronica electronica...... would be amazing to have this album for her 40 years of career........

The way I understoos it, she had so much promotion to do, and it took a long time before she could go back to the studio to work on Veronica Electronica, and by then she just didn't want to do it, so the project was abandoned.

I think this thread needs to be closed until something is actually announced. Everything that can be discussed has already been discussed ad nauseam and is here in writing for all to ponder.

    Every day here feels like....

    No.

The thread about reissues has already been locked on madonnanations's forum.
No need to lock it here too.

And meant to appear in the shelved Madonna version of Warner's 12"ers + 2.

Well, it turned up on the Japanese DYU, and a compilation record, Revenge Of The Killer B's, but I don't know what month that album was released, just that it was in 1985.

But Ain't No Big Deal belongs on the first album, since it was one of her first professionally recorded songs, and meant to be her debut single. :)

from Mojo magazine feb 2024 issue about the reissues

'Madonna is expected to release 'personally curated' expanded versions of her 1983 debut and 1984's Like a Virgin next year'

does this mean we'll get the reissues next year in 2025? or before the end of this year??

No. The article says Reissues 2024, so save up yuor money, cause Mama's got surprises coming our way, I'm sure. :)

@Celebration, please forgive piojito aka @Honey Little, they are talking this because where they live (Argentina, hence "piojito" = "dude" in Argentinian Spanish) the last Kylie item printed locally was Kiss Me Once and every Argentinian who wants to buy Kylie's BMG CD's have to resource on our Brazilian local printings (we are still waiting for our local Tension CD but there are rumours BMG Brasil will release it next year)...

I will not even try to say that word. It sounds incredibly dirty in my Swedish accent. ;) :Madonna034:

    I forgive him. He's Latino. :Madonna005:

Maybe they had to pull them because she had to postpone the tour and the dates that were printed inside were wrong?

    No.

I've seen pictures of the Celebration Tour Hoodie with all the original cities printed on one sleeve.
I'm sure that later prints have them corrected.

I don't think there will be a tour programme this time. It's too bad. Like many of you, I loved the past ones and as a collector of programmes I was pretty bummed out when I couldn't buy one in Stockholm. :(
