It's so weird that her merch and stuff for this tour don't actually cover her whole career imagery and looks etc. Idk I would have expected the Celebration Tour to feature shirts, gadgets and clothes with her appearance in Frozen, the VMAs, album covers and all that fancy stuff. A shame.

They were very clear that this is just the first wave of merch and more is coming.

whoever made this should just share the unmuffled audio, cause this sounds good

If it's an open-air recording from outside the venue then that muffled sound is baked into the recording and you can't remove it. I'm skeptical of it having said that.

Certain songs would be too much for an opening section.

    • Into The Groove
    • Like A Prayer
    • Hung Up
    • Holiday

Just have too much celebratory closing energy that whatever followed would flag IMO

She's done Vogue in her opening section twice and it's (debatable) her biggest song.

I could easily see ITG being an opener. I also kind of love the idea of a dramatic ballad-into-dance version of Like A Prayer as an opener.

So much negativity and complaining. Really sad forum. If you don’t like these songs, sell your collection on eBay and skip the concert.

Conversely - message boards are for expressing thoughts and opinions. If you don't like other's thoughts and opinions - log out and skip the message board.

Madonna has a 40 year career. There's bound to be divergent opinions.

We are on the eve of a new era with this tour and celebration of 40 years. Despite what you read here, we've had mostly no leaks regarding the setlist, visual direction, etc. We are all on edge and hungry for information.

This too shall pass. 5 days left.

I just can’t with the people who always try to force a bs meaning to her concerts like journey or growing up or dark to light. Which tour was dark to light, and what does that even mean?

You’d hate Madonna then since she herself has used some of these exact words and phrases to describe her tours.

”My show is not a conventional rock show but a theatrical presentation of my music. And like theater it asks questions, provokes thoughts and takes you on an emotional journey, portraying good and bad, light and dark, joy and sorrow, redemption and salvation.” -Madonna

Why do people think she will open the show with NRM ??! It has been stated officialy by Ricardo or someone else from her team that the opener will immediately get people dance just by the 2 first notes !  Doesnt match with NRM at all.

This was a remark made by Tony - her wardrobe/costume supervisor - in early 2023 when rehearsals just started. Who knows whats changed since then and especially since her unexpected hiatus due to sickness.

If she opens with a truly iconic hit, it very well may be lipped just to make the beginning of the show perfect.  It's a huge safety net if she's super nervous, and I'm okay with that.

All of her openings since DWT have been lip-synched - or at least heavily mixed (Iconic during RHT for sure).

It's a greatest hits tour guys, "Physical Attraction" is not even a single. The song is good, i'm not denying, but i don't think she will take the place of a hit single for a non single.

Technically "Physical Attraction" was a promo-only 7" single. It was also a B-side to "Burning Up" and released as a single in Brazil (with "Burning Up" as the B-side).

Having said that - I couldn't care less about hearing it on tour.

  9. The Celebration Tour artwork/distorted imagery/"O" is inspired by Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" (1931). Surrealism is one of Madonna's favorite styles of art and this is an iconic painting of that style. The "O" in the Celebration art is a clear riff on the many melting clocks in Dali's work. Dali's famous piece is about "the passing of time  ... in the eyes of the dreamer" (MoMA) and the reference makes complete sense as she's launching a 40 year retrospective tour.
