Uhm... Not to start a new debate in this thread, but the original pressing is the correct one that's still printed on vinyl, used on Spotify etc

I can't remember if it was the original pressing or not but there was definitely a mistake made at some point with the art being upside down. That same mistake may or may not have continued through the years. The original, uncropped photo by Patrick Demarchelier is her on her back on the bed (upside down on the photo). It's been used both right side up and upside down through the years. Lets not derail this thread - there's a whole thread about this on this forum and an MTV News report from 1994 mentioning the printing mistake and the label's scramble to fix it back in the day.

Good point.  I can see the Tour book being an issue specifically.  Those will most likely have the original dates in it.  But here's a thought, sell them "as is".  They still could reprint new ones with the new date, but maybe selling them with those original dates would make them more valuable or collectible.

I can see her team saying, "oh fuck it! let's just leave them as is".  LOL!

Not the same but remember the first pressing of the Bedtime Story cd? Where the art was flipped and incorrect?

Maybe not? Since she had U.S. dates planned already in 2024 as well.  Possibly, if there are dates on any merchandise, it is not specific to regions and possibly just say "2023-24 Celebration World Tour".  I can't imagine them destroying merchandise over that being the tour still starts in 2023.

Some merch is venue/date specific. I can't remember the tour at this point but I know that there were shirts on one tour for Chicago that had "Chicago" plus the dates printed on the shirts. Maybe Sticky & Sweet Tour? Obviously if those were manufactured similarly this time around they would now be obsolete.

Same goes for programs - if the program included a page of the (original) full schedule of shows - the entire program is now obsolete and will need to be reprinted.

I'm sure her team is in the middle of dealing with a logistical nightmare

  4. I will just anecdotally say that I heard from a reliable source that the cause of the infection was her butt implants long before it was ever mentioned on this forum. Take that with a grain of salt. Might be true but also may not be. But since we are all speculating, here are my theories:

    • The butt implants were taken out back in the winter before she started rehearsing. That caused an infection which became septic during rehearsals.

    • Or....the butt implants were still "installed" but they caused a low-grade infection over the years that hit a peak during rehearsals and became septic. And they had to be removed while she was in the hospital recently.

Regardless of what caused it. This isn't the same butt as the recent pic of her on the street in NYC. Something's changed.

But I'm so happy she's out and about and on the road to recovery.

they don’t have the right to hold onto my money for another 6 months!  Ticketmaster is bullshit. I don’t care about a rescheduled date and I’m not rearranging my life for another date! Not cool…

Actually they do have the right because when you bought the tickets you checked YES, I AGREE to their "Terms & Conditions" which includes their refund policy.

Here is what will happen. This info is also clearly spelled out on their website:

Right now, Madonna's team is scrambling to reroute all of the rescheduled dates and get new contracts with each venue.

Once that is done - the venue and TM will send you an email with the rescheduled date. You can either keep your ticket for the rescheduled date or request a refund.

If no new date is announced within the next 60 days, you can also request a refund.

This sucks. I get it. Try to remain calm.

You'll either get your money back or still get the concert you paid for (at a later date).

No one wanted this. Including her.

I have a theory and i hope I’m wrong as I have front row but I think the 14th Oct in London will get cancelled for logistical reasons, the reason I think this.

Blink 182 are there 11th and 12th October  which leaves her team to build the stage on 13th with no room for dress rehearsal or friends and family. We know she always does a friends and family before opening, I think 15th will become opening night.

Assuming Blink 182 loads out the night of the 12th ( I doubt they have a big set to move), Madonna's road crew can load in the morning of the 13th and still have time for a run-through that night.

You'd be surprised how quickly these shows can load in and load out. I'm consistently amazed to see major touring Broadway shows with video components, moving sets, complex audio, etc setup in a brand new venue in 8-10 hours and have a show that same night at 8pm. It's an impressive feat but pretty standard in touring entertainment. These touring sets/equipment are made to quickly load in and load out so that there aren't union labor overtime costs.

I’ll be curious to see how rescheduling works.  If we pick new US dates ourselves of if they are instead simply reassigned?

You'll keep your ticket. When they reschedule the date for the city - your old ticket will work for the new date. Same seats - just a new date. It won't work for another city if that's what you mean. You won't have a new choice of cities to pick from.

He capitalizes on the lowest common denominator so we celebrate him for that. I'll stay mad via/for my goddess Kathy Griffin.

Actual question - not trying to be shady: Andy Cohen is "the lowest common denominator" but Kathy Griffin isn't?

She got famous as a self proclaimed D-Lister who gossiped about her personal celebrity interactions.

    What is the difference?

Not to mention the fact that Andy produced her reality show that made her famous for gossiping about celebrities.

Terrible release and it's sad cause the song is actually good. But what a waste of everybody's time. Next.

She released a song you like and it's a "waste of everybody's time"?

    You can't just enjoy it?

Does it need to be a runaway hit for you to enjoy it?

Does your enjoyment hinge on it being popular?

I'm generally perplexed by the attitude of fans here sometimes.

Hey guys! So, sadly seems like it's starting to be official: https://www.scotiabankarena.com/events/detail/madonna-the-celebration-tour

No news on Ticketmaster yet, but the arena's website posted this. Suffice to say, seems like the entire North American leg will be pushed to 2024, after Mexico?

    ???

The website is still selling tickets to the original dates........

  11. This whole thread is the pot that called the kettle black.

Andy Cohen is just like everyone else on this forum. A huge Madonna fan first and foremost. His fandom is well documented in all of his books.

But he also wants his guests to spill the tea and give insider info on her. Just like the rabid fans on this forum want.

Get off your high horses. You enjoy the behind-the-scenes tea - good or bad - just as much as the rest of us. He often delivers that with his interviews.

And in his defense - I've watched every episode of WWHL and have never seen HIM shade her. In fact, he is always effusive in his love and respect for her. He has an original, beautifully framed photo of her in the bathroom of his own apartment for god's sake!

He asks his guest questions about their personal experiences with Madonna and his guests give their opinion about it. Good but sometimes bad. That's his job. Sometimes his guest don't' have nice things to say about her. That's not his fault.

    Quit being so sanctimonious.

We would all love to sit down and get the inside scoop on her with someone who knows her intimately.

Also: Everyone in this thread has a gossip-y, Andy Cohen-esque post history that is available for us all to view.....

She was very silent in the beginning and we don’t know if she was rushed to the hospital or not as it wasn’t reported from her manager. Celine can’t walk and her condition is way more serious than Madonna’s for sure. Bye.

You don't know Madonna's condition or the severity of it. "For sure."

    Take a deep breath.

Regardless of the site, she isn't starting in 2 weeks, and I doubt in 4 weeks.  As confirmed earlier, dancers have gone home - to come back later -which indicates the very strong plausibility that the show will start in London in October.

    I agree.

I’m not commenting on when the tour will start.

I’m commenting on someone posting “ticketcash.com” (or any 3rd party scalper site) as an official source of information.

    Ticketcash.com?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL TICKET VENDOR. THIS IS A 3RD PARTY TICKET RESALE SITE. A SCALPER SITE THAT PURCHASES TICKETS AND RESALES THEM FOR PROFIT!

The official ticket vendor for almost all of her US dates is Ticketmaster.

You can verify this via the venue’s official website.

…., 'cause it's understandable that the no-refunds policy (if true) could cause some disgust among the GP who bought tickets for the shows.

At least in America and assuming you didn’t buy from a 3rd party or resale ticket vendor…….

If the show is cancelled you’ll get a refund.

if the show is rescheduled and you can’t make the date you’ll get a refund.

    Period.

But when has TMZ ever been wrong?

Um..... when they said Miley Cyrus died in a car accident in 2008? When they claimed to have a photo of JFK partying on a yacht and had to issue a public retraction? When they had to retract a story about Janet getting into a physical fight with her niece Paris? The fact that anything they post about the Kardashians is skewed positive (they are in business with TMZ owner Harvey Levin)?

  17. I don't know what she had planned for the opening number of the Celebration Tour but....if it still happens.....she should definitely consider opening with "Die Another Day."

    I can hear it now.....

    The lights go down.....

    The crowd goes wild.....

Those epic DAD strings come in......

    and then.....

    her spoken voice.....

"I think I'll find another way

There's so much more to know...

I guess I'll die another day...

It's not my time to go!"

    She rises from the stage.....

    Everyone's on their feet screaming

    And then....

The intro synth line to "Everybody" starts....

    "I know you've been waiting...

    Yeah, I've been watching you..."

    And everybody starts dancing.

    *********

    Get well soon my queen!

It is clear that Guy only posted about this on instagram because he knew the Page Six story was about to come out.

The fact that he worded it as a 'bacterial infection' in order to minimise it, and then 5 minutes later the Page Six story was so much worse worries me.

Exact same thought. But I hope I'm wrong. I hope it is just a simple infection. I hope she recovers quickly and the tour goes on as planned with as little interruption/rescheduling as possible.
