  1. What if it was a really dramatic "Nothing Really Matters" and "Everybody" mashup to open the show. Imagine:

The low pads from the breakdown of the Club 69 remix come in.......

    "When I was very young....."

    DO-DO-DO-DOO-DA-DAH ("Everybody" synth)

"....nothing really mattered to me - but making myself happy...."

    DO-DO-DO-DOO-DA-DAH

"I was the only one. Now that I am grown....."

    DO-DO-DO-DOO-DA-DAH

"Everything's changed. I'll never be the same....."

    DO-DO-DO-DOO-DA-DAH

    "Because of youuuuuu.....you.....you......you......."

    BOOM!

    Madonna appears. The crowd roars.

    "I know you've been waiting
    Yeah, I've been watching you
Yeah, I know you wanna get up
    Yeah, come on......"

And then the "Everybody" beats come in....

"EVERYBODY! COME ON DANCE AND SING!

"EVERYBODY! GET UP AND DO YOUR THING!"

    scam

    /skam/

    noun

    INFORMAL

    a dishonest scheme; a fraud.

Help me understand how it is a 'scam' as you and @PlayPauseare claiming as I am otherwise assuming you guys are somehow bitter or jealous and are choosing buzz words for reaction.

Eg - where is the dishonestly or fraud?

    EXACTLY.

    No "scam" happened.

MLVC said "for $10 you can have access to this exclusive reunion interview with the Girlie Show dancers/singers."

I paid my $10. I was given access to the reunion interview they promised. I left satisfied with my purchase and the experience.

The complete irony here is that he's complaining about a $10 podcast being a "scam" while Madonna herself is charging $2,400+ for premium seats to her Celebration Tour.

I mean a few moments of greatness, he did well on S&S in some areas... but since then he's been diabolical. I mean what incredible musical direction it is to just play a slightly extended version of a song with 90% of the vocal being a track and 10% being an off key mixed live vocal. Any MD worth their salt would find a better way of making the singer sound good, and sing well. Stuart nailed his vocal direction on his three tours. NoTunes just accepted anything. An MD should be tough and encourage the best out of the performer.

I agree with your statement. I also think that Madonna has not trained her voice regularly since the late 90's/early 2000s. She was in peak performance following Evita. Her voice hasn't been as strong since then for anything that I can think of off the top of my head really. Maybe this has been a factor why they chose the "live mixed vocals" more and more through the years.

@GregVsMatt Are you sure that this size chart is the same used for the Madonna bomber?

    https://www.alphaindustries.com/products/mjm21000c1-ma-1-bomber-jacket-heritage-2

It doesn't appear anywhere in the Madonna Store...

    From Madonna.com:

"Developed and produced by Alpha Industries, the original jacket’s manufacturer"

Here is a side-by-side of the blank jacket from Alpha Industries site (left) and the BA bomber on Madonna.com (right)

Wow. I'm not complaining, I don't care at all, it's just facts.

"I don't care at all" you say yet you continue to post about it.

It may be your personal view that $10 is a "scam" because you don't feel that this podcast/webinar is worth $10 and that's fine. That's your OPINION and we are all welcome to our personal opinions.

The FACT of the matter is that over 200 people found $10 to be worth it to pay for the podcast/webinar. Many of us thoroughly enjoyed it and felt satisfied with our purchase. You may not agree with our decision. You may not agree that it was a success. But (again) that's your OPINION and not FACT.

Furthermore: what are you attempting to gain here by constantly complaining before and, now after, the podcast aired?  I just dropped $250 on the Blond Ambition Tour Jacket on M's merch site. Did it cost $250 to make that jacket? No. Am I more than happy and willing to pay $250 to buy it. Yes. Will I enjoy it? Most likely. Does your personal opinion on how I spend my money factor into my decision? Absolutely not.

For whatever reason, if you aren't interested in the product being offered - simply move on.

I'm an expert in the podcast production field. NOBODY ever charges 10$ for a single episode, especially when it comes to "passion projects". No matter how you put it, it's WAY OVERPRICED.

Are you still complaining about TEN DOLLARS? I paid more than that for my breakfast this morning. Do you need me to Venmo you $10 babe?

Physical attraction ??? This song was already rehearsed for the virgin tour, the blond ambition tour and the MDNA tour. Hope this time, she will be in the final setlist for the celebration tour. I love it so much

The thing about a “deep cut” like this is that she’s only going to pull one out per tour per her track record. Maybe two if we are lucky. And they often end up being ballads.

    Reinvention got “Lament”

Confessions got (arguably) the demo of “Erotica”

Sticky n Sweet got “You Must Love Me”

    MDNA didn’t really get one.

Rebel Heart got “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore”

Madame X arguably got “American Life” (not performed in 20 years)

With this upcoming tour being Greatest Hits then I’d go in expecting one at most if we are lucky.

By your picture you are very young, maybe some of us have very strong memories attached to that look. I don’t remember if the jacket was a crew exclusive or it was sold to fans in the BA era… 🤷‍♂️

If I'm recalling correctly, the jackets were only made for the dancers and Madonna to wear on stage during the torrential downpours in Japan during the opening of the BA Tour instead of their regular costumes. You are correct that the jackets were legendary and iconic to those of us "of a certain generation" who saw them via "Truth or Dare." I'm thrilled to finally have one.

Photoshop is a legitimate art form though we see a lot of bad examples of it on the internet. Remember that people said Andy Warhol wasn't a legitimate artist in the 70s because he used screen printing as his medium.

Also: when it comes to art, photography has always had a heavy hand in image manipulation which long pre-dates computers and Photoshop trickery. I learned how to manipulate photos on film in college in the dark room of my Photography 101 class.

Unfortunately, it's the AI crap, but with the added crowd noise, it doesn't sound so bad, but once you take away that crowd noise you can hear how wobbly and horribly auto tuned she sounds.

It's not Auto-tune. AI isn't "auto-tuned" since it's not an actual person singing it off-key that's then corrected via the Auto-Tune software. It's literally an artificial "voice" that the computer is generating from thousands of audio snippets as reference. It sounds "wobbly" because the software is trying to map the sounds together and the technology - while advanced - just isn't there yet to be audibly seamless.

  11. She rehearsed a full version of "Rescue Me" and posted at least two videos of it on Instagram during the Madame X rehearsals. She knows that fans have been requesting this song for 30 years. I'm not sure why she thought the "breath work" dance interlude with barely two spoken lines from the verses was a better than the ACTUAL FULL SONG for the final show. She loves to be a sadist to her fans.

34 years ago I made a commercial with Pepsi to celebrate the release of my song Like a Prayer.

The commercial was immediately canceled when I refused to change any scenes in the video where I was kissing a black saint or burning crosses.

So began my illustrious career as an artist refusing to compromise my artistic integrity.

Thank you @pepsi for finally realizing the genius of our collaboration. 😄

Artists are here to disturb the peace.

The American Life video from 13 years later is going "hmmm ..... really?" :thinker:

    LOL
