What are your favorite photos, shoots, videos, and pieces of art of Madonna in dark hair? I soooo love when Madonna wears her hair dark. Heaven!

Isn't it strange how it seemed like she listened to our thoughts wishing she would go brunnette once again? It was about time! Even if it's just a wig, dark hair Madonna is all about mistery and maturity

It looked the most natural during this time.  Every time after that it looked too dark.  Though, there were some moments that I loved it extremely dark.  Like in this performance:

I've been wondering for a while why she hasn't really changed her look much since about 2005 or so. Sure her style has changed somewhat, but nothing as dramatic as in the past. Same with her creative team, which has stayed mostly the same since 2008.

I love her wigs! Many of her most breathtaking looks involved her creativity with wigs imo.

I found it interesting that at the start of Ray of Light's album release/promotions she was a brassy blonde (with a bit of roots), yet her first video Frozen she wore a dark wig, only by mid year, she ended up dying it black. 

It's amazing she isn't bald, and I guess during the Erotica period/Girlie Show, she had issues and that's why she ended up cutting her hair so short for the Girlie show.

Does anyone know whether the rumour that her exposed roots are actually dyed brunette so she can give the illusion that she hasn't gone grey yet are true or not?

It was taken at The Sound Factory in NYC during a break in filming of A League of Their Own in September 1991. I believe the exact date is Sep 15, 1991. Here is a more front on pic
