I like both, but 2003 was pretty touching with Oprah bringing on the teacher Madonna once had.

2000 TRL appearance (next best thing promotion) vs 2003 TRL appearance (I think me against the music promotion.  was right after the Britney/Christina performance) 

I liked both and forgot she even appeared, both times until you mentioned it, but looking back I enjoy the 2000 appearance the most.
