Absolutely nothing was insistent, all articles were basically saying the exact same thing based on completely unidentified source

"Madonna was supposedly in the studio with the California Gurls songstress"
All articles were just repeating these two sentences without any new information.

It began to spread because someone saw Madonna near some studio with someone who looked similar as Katy. Nothing else.

OK isnt bitter and I love almost all pops stars, Katys fun.  (Why was I being unfair?) Follow Vegas news, its says where she hangs out. You took me the wrong way.

I don't have reasons not to believe this, but it was kinda ironic, you said she is OK but then specified her doing a residency is the cheap way and it's almost empty seats, it's hard to interpret it in a different way than shade lol

Didnt mention empty seats. The hotel is notoriously empty its like a ghost town. Its too far down the strip and huge for where it is. I didnt mean to diss her or empty seats id love to go! She must sell well, theyve had her back.

I just attended Katy's show at the end of July, I can confirm it was a packed house and a brilliant show. I also met her and she was warm, charming, kind, and conversational. As for the hotel, I don't know about the rooms but the casino and restaurants had plenty of people.

I'm not even going to hold my breath on that happening.  After what seemed to be an opportune time to release the first deluxe re-issue during the 40th Anniversary of the debut album, came and went, I'm inclined to believe November 2024 will come and go, without no 40th Anniversary of the Virgin album.  But as assured that I have my doubts, it probably will come after all. LOL!  If it does, then so be it, but I refuse to have any hope for it.

I get what @Alibabais saying though.  With Madonna, there tends to be a sigh of hesitation with anything she does, because most expect her to do or say something outrageous even if she doesn't.  Sometimes her not doing so, takes people aback.  Madonna has more of a negative stigma or love/hate relationship with the public.  Kylie really doesn't.  My guess; this latest success with Kylie is comparable to the Confessions era with Madonna, but probably not as successful.  Possibly, this may be Kylie's last big public commercial acceptance before people start to put her out to pasture as they've been trying to do with Madonna.  Not that I think Kylie will be accepting of that and she will most likely be following the likes of Madonna in releasing new material in the next decade or two still, even though she may not be receiving much commercial success from it, like Madonna's been experiencing. 

I actually am glad to see Kylie at 55 enjoying this success lately.  It's hard for most women entertainers to be achieving this level of commercial success at this age.  I think other female entertainers like Cher, Dolly Parton and Madonna have shown they can achieve some level of commercial success well into their 50's and hopefully opening the doors for those in their 60's and 70's.  We all know Madonna will continue to be making waves well into her 60's and 70's.  Cher is seeming to prepare to try again with her next projects that are coming soon.  Dolly Parton is doing pretty well for herself as well.  They all are working hard, doing what they love. Also, I think a lot of people throughout the world start to treasure these artists who keep at it.

I think these artists are also benefiting from a random surge in nostalgia power recently. Nostalgia is just a very impactful force in the zeitgeist at this present moment in popular culture/society. Idk why. Taylor Swift is capitalizing on it with her Eras Tour and re-recordings of albums. Kylie and Madonna are both gaining in popularity right now compared to their most recent decades. Cher and Dolly like you said. There's a nostalgia wave going on that they all need to ride while they can.

Amazing! Yeah apparently theres so many empty rooms its a big place and they like a no smoking policy (some in vegas like to smoke esp when pots on sale right by the hotel area too). Its supposed to be a great hotel!!! Just doenst sell rooms, wrong end of the strip I guess. ANYWAY Love to you all and want to stop derailing the thread. I hope for M to fucking blast us with a Katy duet she promoted her before she was known!!!!!

If true, I wonder if it's for Katy's next album, or M's next album, or an exclusive song for a new 'True Blue' or 'Like a Prayer' box set - I could see Katy fitting onto a modern reimagining of either of those eras.
