Do any of you guys remember or did you participate in a remix competition on Drowned Madonna in 2006?

Just wondering... cuz I submitted a remix which I have long lost somewhere. Curious if the internet has the receipts.

I don't remember that one. But you just triggerd a memory. I can't believe this was 23 years ago. It was the thing that got me into making mashups.

I'm not sure. I might have just slapped my government name on it... "Mathew". Something like Mathew's mix or Mathew does Madonna. Who knows.

I have two unknown extended mixes, Cleo's Girl Acid Mix, Joey C Club mix,, Dirty Hands Extended, some random R&B Mix, the Confession mix and that's it, no Mathews

Strange that i don't remember that contest. I was moderating the forum from 2006 to 2009. Must have been just before i joined the forum then.

some people bought a Donna Summer re-edit I did
but

Pretty sure I entered this contest back in the day. I remember my remix was really dark and tribal - a sound I was into back then. I used drum elements from this track to create the skeleton of the mix. It sounded okay for an (at the time) amateur remixer. I could take a better stab at it today. I think the only copy I have is boxed up in my attic somewhere.

I found mine on my Google Play/ Youtube Music account. I have to request an archive of my music. I have tons of songs I wrote that got lost along the way on there. 👀
