The difference is that most of us are TALENTED. time and time again we've seen fans many on this board really  "remaster" or edit remixes better, we've seen so many fans airbrush and upscale photos, we've seen fans recreate single covers, we've especially seen fans create brilliant mockups and designs for our dream box sets or singles etc. That's the difference. The biggest complaint the past decade fans have had is quality control. Of course most of us would jump at the chance but not because we want clout or to be in her circle but because we LOVE and appreciate her work. You can't have it both ways complaining about her output then flippantly say it's because we're jealous.

What makes you think that Ricardo doesn't appreciate her work? Do you think her glam team are obsessive fans?

She likes Ricardo's output enough to keep him on the books for a few years now, and in an increasing capacity.

For whatever reasons that she sees fit, he strikes the right balance on professional and personal levels.

If you don't like Ricardo's output, then you don't like her current taste levels and aesthetic judgement.

This debate could've been nipped in the bud if some fans would just realise or admit that.

Compare her work with Ricardo with the ROL portfolio, I expect from M that level of excelence, no less, that´s what I expect from her. I know she is so much able of better thing than those last years photo sessions. But I think she is getting better, I don´t want to be negative.

Agreed. The instagram photos she’s putting out aren’t in the same league as the past iconic photo sessions but they’re not supposed to be; it’s fast food for 2024, it’s a heavily edited snap shot. Also, while many of us bemoan the filters and editing, Madonna’s still got a working set of eyes so my guess is she’d rather look filtered than what she thinks looks tired, older etc. Ricardo might be hit or miss but a bigger issue for Madonna would be keeping him around for her privacy. By letting a rotating number of photographers (and their assistants) into her home, into her bathroom etc. it only takes one underpaid assistant who gives no f—ks about an NDA because they’re young and broke to leak unflattering, unfiltered pics of her or share personal medical information which I’m sure Ricardo has some knowledge.

People forget Instagram isn't necessarily a place people post perfect "glam" shots.  It's a place people share their everyday life through photos.  Just because she's this huge star, we shouldn't think that her Instagram should only be full of perfect photographs.

Personally, I think some are being way too judgmental and personal about Ricardo here. Also, Madonna is in charge.  She knows exactly what sort of images she's getting from Ricardo.  Love him or hate him, but he's her personal photographer, and I try not to take every personal photo shoot so seriously.  I also believe she will continue to use other photographers for future career projects as well.
