I think it's a lot of money,  but remember the Madame X blue vinyl..   if you don't order today it might be gone tomorrow.

Is is really worth it though? Everything nowadays is produced in limited quantites to sell them quickly and make them collectible, but I think this is too much. The price margin is off the roof.

Again, are those Calderone edits official? I can't seem to find them on any edition or promo of "American Pie" on Discogs.

Seems like they've used this US promo anyway and attached the original version:

The 4:25 is here (duration mislabeled on the cover):

The 4:06 I believe is the Video Edit, and the 7:34 version a mix from a VC CDR. Some info from the old remixology site:

This one is not an official remix, right? I could only find a SoundCloud link to it but no promo info or anything:

It is official and missed the deadline at the time, so it went unreleased. I believe the 256kbps mp3 around comes from the remixer himself. Haven't seen a lossless version yet.

Madonna evolves. She is always reinventing herself. Whats really pxxsing me off is the ageism that crops up everytime a story on Madonna is posted. All by people who weren't even born when she appeared on the scene back in 1982 She is a strong, self made woman..and weathered abuse from her detractors for years...But she stood her ground
She is now 64..and those savagely roasting her feel the need to remind people that
    - acting and feeling sexy stops at 35
    - you can't indulge in cosmetic procedures over the age of 35
    - you can't have sex over 35
    - you can't have a younger man after the age of 35
    - you can't re mix your own music after 40 years in the business
    - you cannot age.Period.
Madonna has earned the right to do as she pleases..If she wants surgery.. good..If she wants to still feel sexual at 64..Excellent!! Ageism has to be up there as another aspect of prejudice and hate that we no longer tolerate as a society

Women are forever told to act their age or grow old gracefully..We are all individuals and we should meet old age head on, the way we want to meet it And the weight of other peoples judgement needs to stop (especially from younger women)

I think fans should stop making excuses for everything. Age does not explain all the negative reactions, it's just the poor taste of it all. Good for the people who like it, others will find better things to check out. Nobody said you can't remix your music after 40 years, it's ridiculous. It could be more inspired, but it's just 2022 Instagram Madonna. But she's being played on kids radio again so yay, I guess.

  5. This release is useless except to make quick money from Tiktok. I doubt it's going to do anything for her aside from streaming stats. This is even sadder when you compare it to the majestic mixes that were done at the time by people who really knew how to make a remix. If the Levitating remix had gone viral on Tiktok she would probably have agreed to appear in the video too.

They've changed their strategy with this one. Instead of sending it as a new 2022 release to take advantage of Release Radar and later change the date to the original one (1996), like the rest of the digital singles; they've kept the original 1996 date right from the start.

It's available on her Singles discography on Spotify and on Compilations on Apple Music (that's automatic and a mistake from Apple Music's part, not Warner, will be updated later, I guess).

I can't figure out why they've changed this with "Argentina"... maybe with her growing so much on Spotify thanks for "Frozen" and "Material Girl" they don't want to confuse potential new fans with a Latin camp 1996 remix released as new? That's the only reason I can think of, that they're saving the impact of her next Release Radar entry for the new "Frozen" remixes o whatever. But still... there's no limit on Release Radar, she could have a new song there each week if they wanted to...

Qobuz and Deezer list it as 2022 so it varies depending on the platform. Not sure why though.

So does anyone know what sound mix they used? It is not the HBO sound mix. Nikki and Donna's vocals were much more present in that and the crowd response sounded more natural.

This almost sounds like the 5.1 DVD mix - which I have always hated.

Yes, this is basically the HBO cut with the 5.1 audio mix. If they re-release the show at some point, I hope it will be standard mix.

I do have a feeling though that they might not know exactly what they are sourcing from the vaults, I'm inclined to think that they used the broadcast version by accident. Though it's cool to have it remastered.

What happened in Paris was she was there for 4 nights,   2 nights they had 'film' camera's setup all over the place.   The first night the boom camera was on the left the second night the boom camera was on the right.

I was at the front very close to the camera's and i watched what happened.   the first night they filmed beast within,  then when vogue was on a lot of the camera guy's stopped filming and switched to a new film reel.   I don't think they last longer than 8 mins or so.

So once switched they filmed the second song,   Nobody knows me..

The other night the opposite happened they filmed vogue and switched for nobody knows me etc.

So I don't believe they have the full concert from one night,   but i do however believe they could have the full show over 2 nights..

Wasn't RIT digitally filmed? Or was it just Lisbon?

This remix is fan made and still available on soundcloud. It won't get released on Spotify.

His description reads Dominican-bred, Brooklyn-based DJ and Sound-bender. Creating musical portals for aural seekers of mixed genres and cultures. Featured on Rolling Stone Magazine.

It was probably made for the mag and is made with real parts. Otherwise they wouldn't use it?

  10. What a relief to see it's much better this time than the last two tours. It sounds GREAT and pretty much like it was live. MTV HITS had two commercials in between, which makes me assume that the weird fades between songs were made for TV stations to add commercials if they wanted. The live album is derived from that so...

Now can we hope for an unedited show with no cuts? I miss the full Future and even the Batuka interlude. Intros are important to songs IMO.

While I watched Rebel Heart only once, I'll definitely watch this one again
