devilpray 2,387
Like Madonna once said, life is a mystery. So when an 18-year-old DJ named Nick Deboni placed a classified ad in the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday (Aug. 11), it's no wonder he was channeling one of his favorite singers. The strange ad shows a large photo of Deboni's face with text saying, "I published this ad to reach you Madonna and ask you, please, to approve my remix." He is referring to his remix of the pop star's "Devil Pray," and he included links to his official Facebook and SoundCloud pages in the ad. Billboard confirmed with the L.A. Times classifieds office that the ad ran Tuesday in the News section on page 8. The image of the ad began trending on Reddit later in the day and has gained more than 130,000 views. According to Deboni's SoundCloud, this is his first remix, and it has had over 60,000 plays. He has also posted original mixes that have gained more than 140,000 plays. The DJ plays at Brazilian nightclubs and has racked up more than 67,000 likes on his Facebook page. mr00mister 893
well at least he got the publicity he needed: he got everyone to listen to his remix.
MXRXNCHX 1,126
well, after all the horrible remixes we've had this era this one will probably be approved Sad but true, most of the official remixes are really really bad; generic beats and over-used drops (with the exception of Van Helden's Ghosttown and Twisted Dee's BIM) Fighter

survivalartist 6,524
This is the end of the necessity of the remix. Anyone can do it. It doesn't need approval and it doesn't matter who does or doesn't like it. Because there it is. Forever. If this were 1993 he'd be getting a lawsuit. Maybe he will? Why is Billboard covering this? Least folks are being exposed to the song, hopefully the album too. Fighter
BringUrLUV 1,108
its not a bad mix so much....if he's just getting started he's off to a good start. I wouldn't want to hear this on the remix ep but like it was said above, if Dirty Pop & Drew G can get they're mixes approved, maybe he can too.
