Please bring me some Causing a Commotion and Bad Girl. I need these two songs so badly. They are Life... they are Death... They are the Resurection. Pure FIRE!
And start the tour with a haunting version of Rescue Me. Xoxox
-
Why would they celebrate an album and leave out two of the songs completely? Still... it is more than we have received for any M anniversary to date. #justiceforpromisetotry #justiceforactofcontrition

In chronological order:
- Angel - It peaked at #5 both in the US and UK but it gets overshadowed by the more iconic '80s singles. It's time that she gives a rest to Material Girl or LIB and brings back to life this great bop!
- Til Death Do us Part - It is one of her best album tracks ever and it would be a nice way to commemorate the LAP era. Again, she can give a rest to Express Yourself and let this bop shine !
- Rain - Beautiful song that needs to be remembered.
- Why It so Hard - As the op says because it is the song that the world needs to hear RN.
- Secret - A big hit that she hasn't been performed in a while and it can pay justice to the Bedtime Stories era.
- Nothing Really Matters - Another big hit that would be nice to see performed again.
- Sky Fits Heaven - One of the best album tracks ever that was performed only during the DWT. It would be nice to see how she reinvents this song on stage. After all, she did a great job reinventing Candy Shop.
- Skin - Amazing song that deserves to be performed live at least once.
- To Have and Not to Hold - A beautiful song that would add a magical vibe.
- Die Another Day - It is one of her greatest bops ever and I'd love to see her dancing to this song again.
- Sorry - Another colossal bop and a worldwide smash hit. It is also my fav song from COADF and I believe it's time that it makes its return.
- How High - a rare gem that gets stacked in the head after the first listening and can easily let the crowd dance as if there is no tomorrow.
- Miles Away - This beautiful song can do justice for the HC era and showcase her always-improving guitar skills.
- Beautiful Killer - It's a great bop that worked extremely well with the crowd at the Olympia theater. It is perfect to make the crowd jump!
- Best Night - One of the best RH songs and it deserves justice for being ignored last time. Moreover, it would work well next to Skin because both song require the presence of sitar, which would be really dope to have on stage.
That would be a strange concert if all 15 got picked. Haha

15 is a lot, more than the number of tracks on most of her albums !
- Auto-Tune Baby
- Some Girls
- B-Day Song
- Superstar
- Incredible
- Words
- Thief of Hearts
- Spanish Lesson
- The Power of Goodbye
- Pray for Spanish Eyes
- Little Star
- Pretender
- S.E.X.
- Holy Water
- Hey You
(not in a particular order)
So you prefer Cry Baby to The Power of Goodbye? Just curious.

Oh Lordy.... some of people's choices. It should be an automatic flush for listing anything from Ray of Light. Complete apostasy....
-
The only issue that I have with TIC is that it should have been two discs to include all of her hits to that point. Angel... Dress You Up... Gambler.... True Blue... Who's that Girl... Causing a Commotion... The Look of Love... Oh Father... Keep It Together.... and Hanky Panky... are the obvious omissions. Everybody and Burning up are historical masterpieces and belonged in the collection. The material was definitely there. Who's that Girl would have definitely fit in the released version and a true blue edit as well.

None of those songs were “hits”. If we are gonna take charts into consideration, I can give you even more “hits” from MJ, even after his death. And again, he was not even allowed to make albums due to lies and all those trials. This makes his chart numbers even bigger.
I am not saying Madonna lied. I am saying the comparison you made was pointless.
On the other hand, there are different concepts of discrimination when it comes to sexism. Imagine Michael kissing Justin Timberlake and Usher on the mouth in front of millions on an awards show like Madonna did in 2003. They would have been labeled as “faggots” ever since, which none of Madonna, Britney, and Christina suffered.
For longevity and consistence, again no. Michael’s and Prince’s careers were longer than Madonna’s when they died. Michael started making #1 records in early ‘70s with his brothers. This makes five decades when you take his posthumous albums and singles. And in his lifetime, none of MJ’s albums flopped the way “Erotica” or “American Life” did.
1. Billboard UK says those songs were hits. The US is not all that matters.
2. Michael Jackson and Prince were not consistent in the nineties and two thousands, chart wise or artistically.
3. Erotica sold 6 million copies.. and American Life sold 5 million xopies. Neither was a "flop".
4. Madonna's experience with sexism in the industry goes far beyond a single event. Madonna has been a target since Like a Virgin. Being called a "slut" and a "bitch" for 35 years is arguably much worse than being called a "faggot" for an imagined performance.
5. I am not taking away from Prince or Micjael Jackson in all of this, only offering that Madonna is at the same level and is not credited as such.

First of all, bashing Michael Jackson and Prince, or any other artist while asking for justice for Madonna, is not really okay. And this has nothing to do with gender. Also claiming they “did not have hits past 1995” is simply ignoring hits like ‘Earth Song’ (UK #1), ‘They Don’t Care about Us’, ‘Blood on the Dance Floor’ (UK #1), ‘You Rock My World’, and ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ and the fact that MJ was allowed to release just one studio album after 1995 while he was alive (I really do not listen to Prince, so I don’t know about him.). It is that people are idolizing and them for their timeless hits. Just like Madonna will always be loved and seen as an idol despite not having a hit for more than a decade.
As for “Celebration”, well... We talked about it many times. It is a joke. Its regular edition should have been a two-disc edition with ‘Everybody’, ‘Burning Up’, ‘Hollywood’, and ‘Miles Away’ replaced with ‘Rain’, ‘You’ll See’, ‘American Life’, and ‘Give It 2 Me’, and the deluxe edition should have consisted of three discs with ‘It’s So Cool’ or ‘Broken’ as a third “new”
Madonna has had hits in the last decade. Celebration (2009), Give Me All Your Luvin' (2012), and Living for Love (2014). And you are dead wrong about M not being victimized by sexism. Nobody ever bitched about Michael Jackson or Prince needing to retire, despite the hits still coming and massive tours. Madonna carries a lot of records that men once carried and she is largely dismissed as something less than she is. Listen or relisten to Madonna's Billboard Woman of the Year speech. Did she lie? Was she confused? I think not. As for Prince and Michael Jackson's record of hits, I maintain that Madonna was far more consistent over the four decades. I am not sure who said that there were no hits for the two after a certain date but I do know that Madonna did not speak and fade after Vogue in 1990.

"Mastertone of the Year", "Mobile Single Track of the Year" = really ! ?
Would it be too bloody minded if Madge sung about A Smart-Watch ?
Travel, Time & Phones are constants ??Miles Away was a genuine hit outside of the US. We were too busy streaming pop and R+B records that were as "good" as a broken condom. Miles Away over what has passed as pop art over the last decade and a half. 100% on this observation.

For the life of me, I cannot understand the Celebration compilation. Below is a listing of all Madonna UK and US top 40 songs (with most well above #20). There are also all of the dance songs that were club smashes outside of the top 40 charts. Madonna is a global icon and legend and we got "Celebration". Incomplete... hacked edits... out of order... crappy art... etc... etc... Madonna's discography deserves justice. Huge hits in multiple decades and yet she has been largely ignored. Michael Jackson and Prince did not have this impact on the charts or the world for 4 decades and they are revered. WTF

20th.... it was when Madonna was truly Madonna, and the music was 10000 times better
But no Music or Confessions albums or Sticky and Sweet Tour. And no 2019 album.... But could I give up True Blue, Like a Prayer, Ray of Light and Blond Ambition?
-
Choose...
If you could only have one... 20th or 21st Century Madonna. Which one? Either way, you would lose half of M's studio work. It is a no brainer for me until I factor in the tours. Then... it is a hellish decision.
20th Century
1. Madonna
2. Like a Virgin / The Virgin Tour
3. True Blue / Who's That Girl Tour
4. Like a Prayer / Blond Ambition
5. Erotica / The Girlie Show
6. Bedtime Stories
7. Ray of Light
21st Century
8. Music / Drowned World Tour
9. American Life / The Reinvention Tour
10. Confessions on a Dancefloor / The Confessions Tour
11. Hard Candy / The Sticky and Sweet Tour
12. MDNA / The MDNA Tour
13. Rebel Heart / The Rebel Heart Tour
14. "Magic" / "Tour?"

With League director Penny Marshall's death last week, I watched ALOTO for the first time in a few years and loved it even more than I remembered
Such a beautiful, moving film and Madonna is genuinely hilarious and good in the supporting role of Mae Mordabito, Mae should be more iconic!
It's her best film as a whole and the one most loved by the general public
Wrong.... Evita was outstanding. GOLDEN GLOBE!

Not everyone processing things the same of course. I don't know what you're talking about re: her voicing anything during Like A Virgin in ToD. There was no voice over it was all about her not getting arrested.
There was a section where she stated that she was just trying to get through the Like a Virgin part because her dad was in the audience. Her dad also called her racy... and the compliments were passive aggressive. He also stated in IGTTYAS that he di not agree with a lot of her artistic choices. The battle between father and daughter has been on going.
