    Well, as far as her 80s, 90s and 00s I don't think there's a song that I actively hate: I find tracks such as To Have And Not To Hold or Little Star flat and boring, but not "bad"... also, a Cry Baby or a Love Makes etc etc could be cheesy, but I prefer ignoring them.

    My "hatred" is actually directed at her last three albums, in particular:

    Love Spent;

    Masterpiece;

    Some Girls;

    I Don't Give A;

    I'm a Sinner;

    Wash All Over Me (album version);

    Holy Water;

    Graffiti Heart;

    Future;

    Medellin.

    But I actually dislike the majority of MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X; some good/fine tracks here and there, but frankly that's all... the 10s were a disaster.

    TBH Madonna's latest recordings were more sophisticated than traditional or most current pop music and very message oriented.  I love most of MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X.  There is a lot of sincerity and art in those neighborhoods.  I would take those three albums over an album like Like a Virgin any day.  Some songs should not have happened but there was so much music during each of the eras that a couple of songs really is not an issue.

  3. Recently, a coworker asked me if Taylor Swift was this generation's Madonna.  I replied "no".  We discussed it further and I explained that, while both are/were phenomenally popular, Madonna actually transformed the industry while Taylor has not.  Taylor is far less artistic and creative and I compared her efforts to previous boy beds like Back Street Boys and Insync.  Huge marketeers but only the flavor of the moment and nothing more.  Taylor also has taken very few risks and has stayed on formula.  My co-worker actually agreed with me.  Grant it, neither of us loves or hates Taylor Swift and we are both over forty.  LOL

    Well to be fair I defended it because it was too soon to complain in my opinion, but 2 years later it’s super frustrating having nothing at all. I guess we’ll have them when we’ll have them, probably for the 100th anniversary by 2084

    Nothing at all?  Finally Enough Love doesn't count?  A lot of vinyl releases and digital streaming singles added.  A ton of video remastering and a greatest hits tour that should have already started.

    Absolutely 💯give it to me when it’s ready and when she wants to and when it’s a surprise. Anniversaries are really conventional times to release something. Madonna is not conventional. She will release her records when she feels it is musically and culturally relevant. I pretty much doubt that the next deluxe album reissue will be the first album. For all we know it could be Bedtime Stories with the Tupac recordings.

    The rest of this year is really still the fortieth anniversary.

    The supposed insider on the Madonna Tribe forum has said earlier today that it wasn't planned and/or coming with the start of the tour anyway. So it that case it hasn't been delayed, it was simply not gonna happen now, according to this person.

    But who knows.

    Next week is her birthday. I'm not expecting anything at this point, but it would be a lovely date for an announcement and we know she loves her dates.

    Part of the deal includes special promotion and appearances. I doubt that Madonna was up to promoting an event as large as a fortieth anniversary.  Hopefully, now that she is better and not on active tour dury either.

    Plus it didn’t help it was a very poor album with the worst lead single of her career - no amount of radio play or animosity from the public was going to save that wretched song - she should have gone with Hollywood as lead single - not that it was particularly a strong song 🥹 damage was done by then …

    I actually love the American Life album.  I prefer it to the Music album.  Love Profusion... Nothing Fails... Intervention... Nobody Knows Me... Easy Ride...  Die Another Day... X-static Process... Hollywood... There is fantastic material on the album.  I am an American Life stan for sure  but it is well crafted.  It is phenomenal but not as a singles album.  A listen from beginning to end serves it best.

    To some degreee, I agree.  But I think Warner started losing grip during the single releases of Music. Sometime after radio (especially in the U.S.) was reluctant to play her.

    American Life was definitely the turning point for American radio.  I love the later albums but she was not even given a chance.  Americans really were pissed off... and have stayed that way.  Madonna was more issue based from that point on too and Americans overall prefer fluff to substance.  Americans wanna play, not think.  Madonna was asking people to think more and they really wanted to party.  Just my opinion.

    Madonna not using the picture of her on a Hollywood film set for the single cover of her new single "Hollywood" but using it for her flop single Love Profusion.

    Mess.

    Love Profusion is actually a great song.  Madonna had trouble with charting after American Life but her music has been stellar for the most part. Personally, I prefer Madonna's last three albums to her first three and I was definitely around and on board for them all.  Lol
