This isn't someone you pose with in an instagram photo when he embodies so many of the hateful things many of her fans have struggled with over the years.

Madonna always took her narcissism and used it as fuel for extraordinary endurance and, usually, for the right political causes. Without infallible confidence, she probably would've had a breakdown ages ago.  I think she recognizes a fellow narcissist in Kanye and it draws her to him. However, his Personality Disorder and co-morbid Bipolar diagnosis are weapons of chaos when he's in crisis. His money and fame allow him to do whatever he wants whenever he wants no matter how destructive and without consequence. Her recent "Artists are here to disturb the peace," mantra, which she repeats ad-nauseam, seems a manifestation of that particular ethos and less an embrace of non-conformity and "good trouble." It's about giving herself permission to let her ego run amok, to exist in a world of her own making and privilege where there are no rules and no consequences, much like Kanye. That said, her current "peace disturbing" seems limited to mildly annoying her fans by wearing grills, using weird filters, and violently humping various inanimate objects. 

The pandemic was likely the first time in her adult life where Madonna was controlled by outside forces and I wonder how much that has affected her current mindset. She's always rebelled at the word, "No." Right or wrong, she really couldn't psychologically handle the restrictions placed on her, which is likely why she flew her family and sycophants from around the globe to party maskless while the pandemic raged. Tested or no, it wasn't really a justifiable trip.

Long winded rant that I needed to get off my chest. Something odd is going on here, and I'm legitimately concerned about her well-being and safety, especially after saying in that final interview that she wants to work herself to death and Lourdes saying he never sleeps. The surgeries, the falls, the dozens of empty pill bottles... I don't want to look back in a couple of years and wonder why no one stepped in when all the "disturbing the peace" was in actuality a cry for help.

It's sweet that she has a framed picture of Jean-Michel Basquiat in her home. How many people do you know have pictures of their exes in their homes? Then again, they were eventually on good terms after their break, M loves art, she has pictures of her inspirations and he's one of them so I get it. She also had a mural of him painted in her hospital in Malawi.

This is the picture she has framed on the windowsill. It's 18-year-old Basquiat photographed by Nicholas Taylor in 1979.

i swear she reads her social media comments , i really really hope she doesnt for her own mental health - all that negativity and hate aimed at her - she could avoid it in the past by not reading papers etc etc - it upsets me to think she reads them - its like she is responding to the haters and she is getting all caught up in it but how does she know what they are saying about her ..is somebody telling her

Maybe but it's not like it's a mood board, it's a framed picture. She doesn't have any other pictures of her exes out on display and I'm sure quite a few with be portrayed in the movie. She has pictures of Frida Kahlo and David Bowie hanging in her home who are her inspirations. I think she is genuinely inspired by Basquiat and plus she holds dear her memories with him.

oh yeah i agree with you ..im not saying she doesnt have these pics but i feel she is surrounding herself with these items to inspire her work and jog her memory ..unless she moves the pic so it can be in the frame but there is a picture of her on the floor also ..

He’s not just her ex, he’s one of the most acclaimed modern artists. I don’t find anything odd about her having a picture of him.

the comments on her most recent posts on facebook ..wow ..i dont see this kind of behaviour on other artists pages in this kind of manner - people saying they are reporting her so they can get her adopted kids removed from her etc etc ..just relentless abuse

Report her for what? Lol. For giving them a life better than any of us will have? Some people can’t bear to see a successful life. I’d be less for M having adopted them but she brings them back to Malawi and she cultures them with the world alongside their home culture. They’re healthy. They’re stable. They’re active. They’re not overexposed outside posts that any parent could make. I agree, it is relentless.
