I really dislike Howard Stern's style. Although he is able to get stuff out of people he always does it by rushing the subject and pushing them against the corner, it's very weird and unsettling to listen to. And that sidekick he has... what's her name? Don't get the need for her existence at all.

If she had ever appeared on or called into Stern in the 80's or 90's, it would have probably lasted a few minutes and been infamous. As a longtime fan of both, it was amazing hearing them finally get together when they did. I guarantee it only happened because he and Rosie became great friends after him dragging her for years. And yes, Robin can usually notoriously take the day off, but we love her anyway.

It's not a wig in that interview.  Nor is it in the NRM video.  It is a wig however in Frozen video.  She had dyed her hair dark late summer of '98.  She had done multiple interviews all during that time.  She premiered the new dark hair when she released the video for POG and I believe is probably around the same time she did the interview in question.

Yes this is what I always assumed. It's clearly her hair especially in the 20 Questions with Kurt Loder from the VMA's '99 pre show. My God, why do I know all this?

    That wig looked terrible.

Hold the phone...that was a wig?!

I've heard people also say the NRM flat hair was a wig too, which I always thought was her real hair. It looked gorgeous on Larry King/The Grammy's when I assumed it was her real hair. And obviously an awful wig for DWT.

We need a thread dedicated to her wigs/ pieces over the years and settling whats what for once and for all. Most of the time I could clock the full hats because 8/10 they always looked off (Jump/ Versace Testino/Sticky and Sweet bayang). But I'm in a tailspin now, thanks.

I think "harsh" was part of the concept. It was meant to be raw and ironic, glam but not glam, you know.

Actually, there was a Bourdin set that was out of the final video, maybe cause it was TOO similar to the original, the chair:

It was used on the remix video though:

I LOVE the "Hollywood" video but wonder what they were thinking ripping off a whole collection of pictures from a well known photographer, honestly:

I mean, a couple of them, for inspiration mixed with other original concepts? Cool, but ALL OF THEM?

She hasn't worked with Mondino again after that...

Well....you said it all🙂 It's also why the name and images of Guy Bourdin are permanently burned into my brain, so thanks Madonna. Jkjk

That's why I would love to know what other treatments were thrown around if at all. Jonas would have come up with something really sick I'm sure.

I loved a lot of her intentionally harsh looks at the time. The Die Another Day video and some of the Klein images for Re-Invention.

  5. I thought some of the looks in the video were "harsh", but I loved it. I do wonder what other concepts were thrown around before they decided on the Bourdin tribute.

Still love all the remixes except Calderone which I thought was a bit basic. Love some of his other mixes. However, I'll forever be grateful for that mix as it was used as the base for Alberkam's "Hollywood Express" mashup. I was surprised they didn't use it for the Confessions Tour. Would have loved to hear what Felix Da Housecat/ Mount Sims would have done to it. Love their other AL era mixes.

Always thought the official/ "unreleased" Sander Kleinenberg mix was really good too.

  6. I'm just surprised that people are ok speculating about her ass being removed but those same people would read you to pieces for mentioning drugs a week ago. It's interesting what's acceptable to the fandom and what isn't. I don't mean that as shade, I find it genuinely interesting. And before the quotes start I do not care either way. People can speculate all day. It doesnt bother me. If I disagree, I scroll. I'm so glad she's up.

I opened my phone to the Page Six headline and nearly jumped out the window, girls.

I hope she makes a full recovery and does whatever she needs to do for herself.

Also, the "MJ This Is It" comment is peanuts to what you are going to hear everywhere outside of this forum. Thats genuine fear and concern from a longtime fan. Get ready for a laundry list of awful stories from drug overdose to "publicity stunt" to botched surgery etc. until we see her in public again. They're coming. IIIII myself don't feel that way, so save the quotes.

I think I read the deal with BS album single strategy was - Warner wanted secret and take a bow as singles and m wanted Bedtime story and human nature to close the singles out - I think she made the right choice as I think FL is pretty dull song anyway 😞

I would love to know every detail of every single choice/fight they ever had. The BS singles run was incredible. I still think dance mixes of "Don't Stop" would have taken off at the time. My personal choice would be "Sanctuary". That tour would have been something else.
