  1. Let's not forget that Britney and Xtina were HUGE on that time, and as always, they were called the new 'MADONNAs'. Madonna, Britney and Xtina fanbases were in peace and happy, and it was the way that Madonna said: I'm still being the queen, I can play with the newcomers as I want, I'm still here and I'm going to make my banned album / singles worldwide again.

I agree that Hollywood suffered a little and became smaller after the kiss, but hey... they included it in her extended compilation Celebration because of this performance.

I'm going to tell you all one thing: let Madonna do what she wants with her pussy and her music, I personally don't care if she reinvents the songs or not, I don't care who the musical director is, because in the end and after all, all of his tours since Sticky & Sweet have had great commercial and critical success. The only reputation that Maddy has to clean up is that of arriving too late to concerts and going on tour in poor health, as that can have a very negative influence on the success of future tours.

So her pussy is wrong then. Someone or herself has to repair it.

Destroyed her reputation as a live act? You mean by being the musical director of the highest grossing tour for a female artist ever? :)

That was under the Confessions era influence. MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X constant decline numbers say 'hi'.
One thing is clear: her live music doesn't have the 'wow' factor that had before Kevin.

Stuart was great at re-inventing her hits...but I was NO fan of his live musical direction. That 'canned' sound started with him.  (Yep, I said it).

I'm going to disagree with most here, and say Kevin's work was actually quite good on Sticky & Sweet. The band sounded live, and the arrangements and transitions were great. The downslide started with MDNAT and into RHT.

The truly last LIVE band that was great through and through was The Girlie Show band, led by the phenomenal Michael Bearden.

I agree that Sticky & Sweet wasn't bad at all and the laziness started with MDNA Tour. But even being heavily programmed sounds, DWT, RIT and CT had soul, had energy, were modern...

Yep. Same feeling here. Looks like she's waiting while someone else is recording... and knowing her the second she had stepped in the studio she would have posted a pic of the studio with a caption like "back to the grind" or something along those lines to get everyone in a frenzy. i hope i'm wrong though.

I don't want to sound negative, but I care 0 about her being at the studio because that would mean 3 years more, leaks, #soons, twins, and more things like that, and in the end it will be released with 0 promotion and done in less than 1 year.

Again why do people on here get so excited about streaming when you have the damn songs on your iPod , laptop , cd , vinyl already FFS !!!

Because it's 2020 and it's the way that media / charts can mesure what is a hit and what is not... and for someone like Madonna... the actual numbers that she has there are a joke (not difficult to understand counting that all her catalog on Spotify is messed up and we prefer to listen our files).

A advise: If someone here really want this perfume for some reason, and doesn't have any enough money to buy it, buy a replica of it. I have seen some of my friends that bought a Truth or Dare replica :cute:

To buy a replica of Truth Or Dare is stupid, the bottle was cool and it wasn't expensive. But in this case, the Madame X one... I can understand it!

I understand (and share) your point of view but it's all business in the end. Surely there is an comunication issue in how her team handles everything right now but she's always been like this: practical.

Personally, while I don't share it or enjoy it, just like all the MDNA Skin, gyms, etc. ventures, I don't mind it? I mean, you can easily ignore it. Most popstars have all kinds of brands: clothes, perfumes, make up... Madonna only started doing those after her divorce to get her money back (so blame Guy Ritchie? ).

Until 2012 she only did H&M, Motorola, GAP, Max Factor, Pepsi (ahem)... and those few random Japanese commercials in the late 80s and early/mid 90s. That's not a lot for 25 years of mega-stardom.

The brands that u commented (Motorola etc), were big before her, and she gave her image only to their good organised campaigns, with new photoshoots, etc... all her efforts as her own brand are lazy, recycled, and damaging 'Madonna brand' on a long term, and they are really expensive!

No one forcing you to buy it, right?

I'm not interested either but some reactions are just too much.

Asking for a book that she should gave it for free to the ones affected by the cancellations, 200$ and for a cheap bottle another 200 is the only thing here that is 'too much'. It's obvious that she wants to have the same income as before, but with less effort. I can understand it, because age is a fact and u she can be tired of touring and promoting non stop like before. But we are not silly.
If nobody buy this mess, maybe she and her team will react... but I'm sure that she will have at least 400 collectors that will kill for this lazy effort.

It's a tour that I never cared for (maybe cos I was pissed I coudlnt go) but looking at it now, it's really good on its components and themes.

And it contains what they are big hits by that time: Ray Of light, Frozen, Secret, Music, Don't tell me

Dumb question: What's with the You'll See? I noticed is on the Tour audio but not on the Detroit video.

You'll See substituted Gone for some shows on the US leg

  11. Nobody's Perfect, was PERFECT (lol) on the setlist. It explained a lot from the story / plot that she was telling during the geisha section.
For me the setlist is perfect, I would add only Nothing Really Matters, as it was a fan favouritte, but other than that... excelent tour. She gained a lot of new fans during Ray Of Light / Music (like me), so for us it was like The Virgin Tour was for previous fans: everything new, fresh and based on the albums that we were listenning non stop!

Oscars 1991. She was possessed  by something that night!

Her Girlie Show Tour vocals are very impressive, too. At least in the two official video recordings (Australia and Japan) she sounds amazing.

It's funny how the "Ray Of Light" era is one her peaks but vocally had mostly shaky performances: VMAs, EMAs, Grammy Awards 1999... She was quite good in "El Séptimo de Caballería" (TV Show) in Spain, so I guess she's just human and can get nervous in big venues:

The "Rebel Heart" promo performances were very good vocally, too, especially "Ghosttown".

I always thought that her voice in Septimo de Caballería was a tone down compared to the album version. But somehow, it was beautiful and powerful.

For me, her live-voice peak was during the Drowned World Tour!
