One of my least favorites is the "Blame it on Rio" one, she looked so awful at the time, especially in outtakes.

@kesiakYep, but the experiences are on vastly different planes of trauma. One sets you back financially (I doubt she was really that involved other than picking the demos and changing the occasional word), the other scars you for life. You don't have to remind me she was raped, I'm as much of a fan as you are, and know the same facts. My heart goes out to her, but that experience doesn't mean she can use that word any way she likes. The same as that poster calling some things slavery and torture recklessly.

Interesting points in a lot of posts, but it's interesting to see the use of the word slavery for people who are multimillionaires, which I have to disagree with - it's similar to Madonna saying she was raped when her demos leaked, we're talking that level of being out of touch.
Look, no one told me my back is gonna get fucked after years of programming, that was nowhere near the job description. Similarly, if you wanna have hundreds of millions and be adored, you have to bear expectations of fans and take criticism with dignity. You can't have your cake and eat it too, then everyone would want to be a popstar... Of course, lesser or younger stars are in a more precarious position, both financially and mentally, but Madonna? Please. An Instagram comment won't kill her. Slavery my ass.

In her defense she does give a lot to charity. There are many celebrities who have more like Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey. I don’t think having money is repugnant as long as what you do to earn it doesn’t hurt people. I have no problem with musicians or athletes making a lot of money because they provide entertainment, I do have a problem with CEO’s or corporations who do negative things like pollute the environment.
She should pay more taxes, charity is just an illusion to make THEM feel better about having a morally repugnant amount of wealth. She was mentioned in the Panama Papers after all, funny how we all let that one slide.

I just want "Keep It Together" because I don't want to buy another CD of it just for the single mix. If Rhino throws in the rare 7'' remix too, they've got my love. I own the Japanese EP, which is the US 12'' + Cherish Extended Mix thrown in randomly as the first track.

Although the Martha Graham story seems fake, I think I saw a news article/interview from long before the album release that recounts the same incident. Maybe I've just gaslit myself into believing it? Gotta find the article...

I'll be fair, I completely forgot about "Levitating", that was a good track.
I'd love it if "Keep It Together" was next single to end up on streaming.

I'm hoping for "Keep It Together", but maybe they'll stretch their imaginations and put "Remixed Prayers" out. I would love them to go even earlier, but that would require Madonna's gay intern getting the rights and lossless files of those lovely Japanese EPs (which I feel they have already, since they reissued them on vinyl). What everyone is hoping for, obviously, are remasters and proper sourcing. Get Stuart Price's stems STAT.

I don't think the "Alternate Single Mix" it's from the Japanese Single Collection, it's 5:05 there but 5:07 in this digital maxi release.
The 1st track should be tagged as "Single Mix".
I put them into Audacity, aligned and inverted one of them and they canceled each other out. Maybe not the same duration, but definitely the same.

"Fever" probably won't get released except as a part of the "Bad Girl" maxi. It wasn't released in the US, was it? But after letting a bit loose with the latest two with these extra promo mixes, I want them to be crammed from this point on. Release EVERYTHING.

I love those Single Edits compilations I did back in the day. They were a pretty awesome split.
Also wanted to do artwork inspired by this
but only using era-appropriate images. Might do one day!

Well, it's literally in the Scripture, but I don't see Twitter wanting to cancel the Bible all of a sudden.

They seem to be doing US maxis only, there's no way in hell we'll get The Holiday Collection.

Qobuz and Tidal should be your go to for lossless. Although I don't think this master is any different than what we got on CDs 28 years ago.
~edit: Just checked a lossless rip, it says Track 04 might be an mp3.

Will Madonna Ever Have A Hit Single Again?

Nah, and it's not just the GP to blame. She's become very acerbic and distant in the past decade, not to mention terribly uncool even among the people who would generally comprise her fanbase i.e. the gheyz.
I can already tell the biopic will be a disaster, presenting her as an absolute saint saving the gays and probably being an otherworldly extraordinary girl who rose to the top because it was meant to be... which would've been a great story if she weren't directing and writing it herself about herself. Anything above 0% on Rotten Tomatoes will make it a terrific success in my eyes. Hits? It's not gonna happen, unless posthumously and/or via a sample.
