Come on guys, everybody will do exactly what he or she feels right for him/her. There will be people who will have the generosity to film and share, maybe having tickets for more than one show, and we're gonna be happy about that. All of us. For the night of the show and the years ahead. Look how much we still love to watch the old fans recordings from the 90s or 00s tours.

At the same time I don’t usually record long videos at concerts I do hope someone else records the whole thing as long as they don’t block my view. Also still hoping someone streams the entire first concert at least. This thread is making me question my principles. Am I being selfish? Am I hypocrytical?  :salty:

Not at all.

As long as someone else isn’t affecting my enjoyment, they can do whatever they please.

I agree with what you said, but I can understand how some feel about "enjoying the moment".  Personally, I have recorded a couple songs at concerts. I think we all want to take a piece of it home with us.  The problem I have is, I feel I'm missing out the performance at the moment because I'm too damned focused on making sure I'm keeping my device sturdy, focused and making sure I'm not blocking someone elses view.  So in one aspect, I understand that the mobile devices can be annoying.  In another, I'm happy some are able to capture the concert.  I'm more amazed how some are able to capture some good HD quality footage with very little of shaking, etc.  :)

Of course, everything's gotta be recpected imo.

Dont! Put your phone away and live in the moment!

I did that for TOAC and RH! I knew others would film - best to live and enjoy it every moment of it!

Absolutely! By the time the Paris show comes around there will be 4K videos all over, amazing photographs and bootleg audios everywhere.

It’s a Madonna concert! Live the damn thing, not through a lense. And frankly for a million dollars a ticket, if I was behind somebody who was holding their phone up for two hours I’d be losing my shit and reporting them to the staff. Nobody pays to watch somebody else’s phone!

A quick photo here and there is perfectly fair of course!

This!!

In my last concerts I started encouraging people around me to put their phones away and enjoy the moment. Quickly everyone realize/remember the wonderful and unrrepeatable experience of being there enjoying with your favourite artist and other thousand souls.

Don’t do that.

Enjoy your show as other have mentioned.

You could do a live preshow or something like that instead you have the personality to do something very entertaining

That's exactly what I think too. Of course I take a couple of pictures of the show, but I never spent the whole time recording it. After all, as other people already said here before, what's the point of paying hundred/thousands of USD/BRL/GBP/whatever to attend a concert and watch it through a screen, when your favorite artist is right in front of you?

And that really pisses me off when someone blocks my view with a mobile. A couple of weeks ago, I went to a Sophie Ellis-Bextor's concert and this guy spent the whole performance of Murder on the Dance Floor recording it with his phone right in front of me, blocking my view partially. The climax of her show and I couldn't enjoy it properly because of a selfish guy.

But, at the same time, it's because of those people who spent their time recording the concerts that we have, for example, various bootlegs from Spice World 2019. Otherwise, without any official release, we wouldn't be able to revive such moments.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thank you everyone for the advice and I do agree filming at a concert can ruin the moment. I still want to film one of the shows I attend though lol. I am a videographer and photographer so I enjoy filming and taking photos at gigs even just on my phone where I’m not allowed to bring in a better camera. Yes there will be many fan videos but not that many decent ones let’s face it. I can “live in the moment” at one show and film at another. That’s why I’m attending multiple shows.

I saw Beyonce on Sunday. Jesus Christ the staging and tech was insane. It's been 8 years since moms stadium tour. I hope she uses the new tech that's developed since that time and brings us an insane show.

I’m sure she will. She always does.

I’m seeing her for the first time in September in the allegedly Houston concert where Madonna would be making an appearance 🤞🏼 (I don’t think it’ll happen)
