Does this tour have more technical issues than normal?

Is it me or are technical issues way too common on this tour? Especially with the audio? She often says "I can't hear" into the microphone, and it's happened on multiple cities. The opening night was interrupted for like 15 minutes cause the audio was down and then the flying box didn't reach her on time for Ray of light, among many other issues.

There are not so many, it's only that it's her first arena tour in the "new world" of everyone having good quality smartphones so everything is registered. There are endless videos for each show now, when in the previous arena tour, the "Rebel Heart Tour", 2015-2016 good smartphone cameras and big storages capacities were not that extended for everyone.

But I agree that not having a band was maybe and adjustment for everyone there? Including herself. I prefer it, though? She seems way more relaxed.

i love this tour, she is great... i love the songs she choose and how they re-make the costumes who were so iconic for her career, her mv and her iconography....for the technical issues i think that after the M in the ICU ... everyone  stop doing what they was doing because everyone was focus only on M health and the concern was very high...

This and in the tour she's running away from any R&B/hip-hop stuff, any "trying hard to be Mariah or Janet," except for a small portion of Human Nature which is completely necessary to the flow of the concert narrative.

There seem to be more audio issues than before, OR she just doesn't mind communicating it through the mic now, I see some videos of other singers and they usually motion the team using hands or making some other gesture.

thats the problem i guess with using backing tracks i guess ? but it defeats the purpose of using them -  i would love to get my hands on them though as the mixes stuart has done are amazing

Yeah, I think it's just people are filming every show and are more aware of the difference, changes and mishaps, so it stands out to some more.  I've read that Taylor Swift has had a lot of technical issues on her Eras tour.  Fans just make more aware of it anymore.  Some look for it and others make a bigger issue of it than needed.

I'm attending one her shows in Mexico City, I never had care about that kind of things, I enjoy every single moment of the tours I have had the chance to be in, since The Sticky & Sweet Tour, I'm so impacient to be on the Celeration, celebration, celebration, celebration.

Good point, she used to have her musical director on the stage, now she probably can't even see Stuart.
I also think there is a different technology involved, Stuart seems to be mixing the volume of the backing vocals on the fly, etc... It's a different beast from her previous tours.

I wonder if she still pulls iconic tantrums...

ive seen a lot of Eras Tour mishaps and honestly, we all joke about it.

like the one where her trap door thing wasnt working, she stomped on it and it wouldnt budge so she had to half-sprint her way past all her back up dancers to the one that did work. later on she posted this ("still swift af boi")

Imthink woth this tour, the amount of mishaps is nothing out of the ordinary but the time it takes to resolve them is unusual. Back when she had her musicians on stage, the sound problems were fixed with what seemed like the push of a button in a matter of seconds. And with nobody of the sound people or the band being present on stage seeing what she is doing or what is fucked up in her monitors, that might be a new and unexpected challenge. Also, it seems that the volume of her backing tracks is adjusted spontaniously. 
And they turn off her mic a lot although she might throw in an ironic one-liner or an audince interaction from time to time (ballroonm judgement section).

In Berlin, her mic was cut out as she decended into the bottom of the stage while wanting to thank the audience.

I will never wish bad on anyone.. but that Taylor bitch... OMG! I have to be very careful about my karma. If her whole stage broke down and they had to cancel the tour, I think I could live on unaffected. Almost relieved. Maybe even happy. Happy enough to do a little dance. To Madonna. The real queen!

That bitch made a career out of publically denouncing and defaming her exes to the point that even the fandom started picking up on the ridiculousness. And it's not even tongue in cheek anymore.
