I mean look at all the different types of styles on that album. Bitch I'm Loca is sung half by Maluma -- its not rocket science. It is what it is to  and fans alike. And, that is not final, its the truth.

So, you think Faz Gostoso (again, a cover) and Bitch I'm Loca are an important part of the Madame X narrative?

I think they were just an attempt to add 'bops' to a relatively challenging album experience for the average listener.

I love reading everyone's opinions.  And it is 'subjective' as you stated.  I agree with you regarding this album.  I don't take "Bitch, I'm Loca" too serious and it's just a many song she puts on her albums are simply fun, light and sometimes silly.  I agree that it's a "bop".  Not every song has to be meaningful and complex.  Some of her biggest iconic hits have been simple, fun dance songs  I love she can have fun and also offer us some really meaningful and insightful songs as well especially on each album.

I think they kind of derail the artful energy and intention of the album.

I wish she would've committed to that 100% rather than feel the need to add 'bops' to 'lighten' the energy.

I blame it on American Life album PTSD.

it's all subjective.  More than not, her albums have had a few lighter bops.  I enjoy them all.  I don't try to put limitations on her art.  I actually prefer Bitch, I'm Loca over songs like Medllin.  I've always enjoyed the playful side of Madonna as well.

Based on where she went after MX, I'm still surprised Faz and BIL weren't singles tbh. Neither is really my cup of tea, although I did like that Miggs(sp?) remix of BIL more than the original (a running theme for me with this album's tracks). And Faz was the most noise I heard on social media about new Madonna music, aside from Beyonce's Queens remix, in a while.

My personal choices would have been "Come Alive" and "Funana". Different strokes....
