Don’t like the album, but MDNA the tour was very theatrical and powerful. Shocked it’s so low. 
I am happy that $ticky and $wert was put in its place because in my mind it’s way too overrated.

On a technical level The stage is brilliant but the simple Virgin Tour beats it hands down in my opinion.

Like Sticky and Sweet and Rebel Heart, they deserved to get trashed because of the sound/musical direction. In the end, that is the most important thing and those three tours had Kevin Atunes which was horrible.

The music and sound were bad. At the end of the day the music and sound are what you go to a concert for.

Overall it is weighed down by the slump in the middle. Turn up the Radio is particularly awful. What a strange choice to do that song of I all songs on guitar.

At the time the tour seems epic but when you look at it now even the brilliant performances are let down by the songs themselves. For example, Girl Gone Wild as a song has not aged well. And such an epic opening is cheapened by the song choice.

I agree  - especially about Girl Gone Wild. I love this tour  - she had so much energy. Like a Prayer, Vogue, Revolver, Celebration and Love Spent were highlights for me.

The DVD had too many shots from too many different shows taken from the screens and not shot in HD and the sound was so poor especially for the opening song maybe something went wrong with the recording and was the best they could do

It did. She came on so late in Miami everybody went home. The crowd was half empty.

That is not to say they could not have mad w better film. I really despise the slow motion used constantly. It makes it look like Madonna didn’t really do all those incredible moves live on stage. They have also washed out all the colour. The black and white slide show that is Like a Virgin is an abomination.

This is one of those times where fan videos are superior.
