RE:Immaculate Collection.  It annoys me that steaming/digital platforms don't have the same version on the physical version.  Part of the greatness of that compilation is that all the songs were mixed and weren't the same mixes that were already available at the time. 

I know. I hate that "The Immaculate Collection" is not... immaculate :Madonna009: But on the other hand, only "Lucky Star" and "Borderline" are not the proper versions and those are basically the ones included on "Celebration".

Back to "Madonna", I was checking yesterday and they've updated the whole album except for "Holiday". I don't know if they're the 2001 versions or not, but "Lucky Star", "Physical Attraction", "Everybody" and "Burning Up (12'' Version)" seemed to be taken directly from the master tapes before (low sound but good dynamics), while now are way louder. It reminds me of the "True Blue 35th" remaster but maybe it's just the 2001 one.

Let's see, maybe "Madonna 40" is coming and they've updated these versions now.

Not saying exactly that. What they did when "True Blue 35th" was released is they updated all the versions on the regular "True Blue" edition with the remasters on "35th" too.

With "Madonna" now, they've updated all the tracks except "Holiday". The versions are louder but I can't tell if they're the 2001 remasters or new remasters. The timing of the tracks are exactly the same as the 2001 remaster, so maybe they just updated it with the correct 2001 remasters (except for "Holiday") and just that.

Or maybe it's a sign for "Madonna 40" coming soon.

Thanks again.  And I suspect if they have been remastered, we'll being getting them released physically with the 40th anniversary editions.

The fact that The Immaculate Collection is one of the best selling albums of all time and it has a 7 minute versions of Lucky Star as track 2 and a 5:20 version of Borderline as track three on digital platforms is diabolical.

Immaculates strength is its brevity and concise bulletproof tracklist. 
A but gutted the Holiday version has gone from the Madonna digital tho as it’s my favourite version. Think it was from Japanese boxset.

It's a combination of things:

- The "Back That Up To The Beat" trend effect has helped quite a lot.

- The tour announcement and people revisiting her hits.

- "Sorry" BLOND:ISH remix and its promo -> it's not a big hit but has helped too.

- "Crazy For You" has been added to a big Spotify Valentine's playlist.
