I am pretty satisfied with M but I will try.

1. Dating Warren Beatty when she was inarguably Queen of the World.  He barely seemed alive in Truth or Dare.  Madonna usually surrounds herself with such creative types.  

2. Naming GHV2,... well. GHV2 was the least creative move of her entire career.

3. The American Life flag video replacing one of the best videos that she ever made and, let's face it, the PR damage was already done so it was pointless.  Very reactionary.... not creative.

4. Including GMAYL in the Super Bowl performance.  Next to Vogue, Music and Like a Prayer, it seemed even weaker than it already is.  I mean, she could have sang Like a Virgin and/or Ray of Light.  The mainstream crowd would have love LAV.  It would have been pandemonium.  

5.  All of the over-editing in the Rebel Heart Tour.  Some of the songs are simply not watchable due to the inconsistency of her outfits, hair and makeup.  Like a Virgin is particularly hard to watch and the actual mix and performance were unbelievably stunning.  Way too many cuts and I miss M closeups.  

Again, I love the Queen but these are my five gripes.

Thanks   -  I would not disagree that the problem with the over edited concert DVD's started with Confession as much as I love DVD of that tour. I think she maybe has tried to emulate the job Jonas did for Confessions with herself as the editor in charge and I know she spent ages editing MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X but they don't compare to Confessions and just end up looking over edited, hard to watch and nothing like the experience of watching the show in person. Wish she would hire Jonas Akerland or another pro like Hamish Hamilton who did the Superbowl edit and Drowned World Tour to take back over the filming and edits of her concert DVD's

I consider myself a good fan of Madonna but unfortunately there are some things I don't like about her and I don't think that by saying them I mean I'm less of a fan than other people:

Children's books. Kind of inconsequential of her because you can't do an adult book where you go naked interacting with other people explicitly in the name of sexual liberation and then release a book aimed at children. As inconsequential as a porn actress deciding to be a nun or a class-minded person later deciding to have a social assistance program on television. Definitely not.

The terrible edition of her last tours. So many images in so few seconds end up being torture for anyone's eyes.

When she wears animal skin garments. As an animal defender, I will always criticize her every time I see her wearing one of those disgusting clothes. Fortunately it is not something frequent in her.

Her bad taste when it comes to dressing. How can I defend her when she makes poor decisions regarding her wardrobe? Garments that do not match in terms of color or simply because they are in bad taste. There are unfortunately too many examples: that disastrous pants she wore when she went to Jimmy Fallon's show in 2022 or the wardrobe she wore when she sang with Maluma at his concert in Medellín, especially that black jacket that made her look fat and that pink skirt that seemed of a low-class cabaret. Definitely not.

Off the top of my head - the children's books, The Secret Project (basically just a typical Madonna/Klein half naked shoot with a "deep" message that isn't really reflected in the visuals), most side projects like the gym, shoes, design collaborations etc.

I don’t really know, the censors considered it wasn’t appropriate because of religious imagery but I don’t truly remember anything of sorts on that perf/backdrop.

Iconic was a fab performance even though it's mostly playback. She looked great, it was well stylised, I loved it. BIM was an awful performance, why couldn't they sensor that? 🤣

Yes, they all looked amazing on The secret project but that´s all. It was quite silly at the end.

During the concert in Singapore, "Iconic", "Holy Water" and "Devil Pray" were removed from the set list due to religiously-sensitive content which breached Media Development Authority guidelines.  There were some changes towards the end of the gig as well. Madonna started her encore song Holiday without a Singapore flag, replacing it with a flag with a peace sign.  She also sang "Crazy For You" .

Re the Secret Project visuals, you do realise that they intended to film the lingerie line but that it was cancelled on the day?

M talks about it in the interview that supports it. On a whim, she turned into something else to not waste the shoot booking.
