  1. Oxana is a scammer and a thief and we shouldn't be promoting her. It's well known now that she printed fake tickets to try to get to the front in many shows, now this is a polaroid photo of Rosie's polaroid, and she's trying to sell it for $2k on auction sites. And we won't go into her "documentary" and how she's exploiting fans who are ignorant of her antics...

  2. She also thanked Madonna on her Instagram for the Polaroid she was "gifted" the night Detox bought it. Detox saw it and commented on her IG:

  3. Here are some that I have found interesting over the years: Take A Bow was written about an actor Madonna knew (fans often speculate which one). Love Tried to Welcome Me was apparently inspired by a stripper Madonna met. Forbidden Love was supposed to be the last single, but it was scrapped and released on Something to Remember instead. A lot of Madonna's looks from this era were noted to be quite similar to Jean Harlow. Madonna was extremely nervous performing Take A Bow live at the AMAs. The song was never included in any of her tours until Rebel Heart in 2016. The Human Nature music video was inspired by the art of Eric Stanton. The Chihuahua that appears in the music video was Madonna's dog, Chiquita. Bedtime Stories was supposed to have a tour, but Madonna decided she wanted to focus her energy into her role in the Evita film. This special from the filming of Take A Bow gives a lot of interesting info:

    Madame X Tour | Chicago

Here is how it all starts. The main red curtains open, and a white projection sheet is revealed behind it, close to the stage's edge. On the right side, you see a projected shadow of one of the dancers sitting at a desk behind the sheet in Madame X's "God Control" garb and typing a message that, in its turn, is projected at the top of the sheet. The message is a James Baldwin quote about artists existing to disrupt peace. On the left, in front of the sheet, Madonna's current boyfriend dancer does a routine synchronized to the words that the "Madame X" is typing. The first time he does it, he "gets shot" pretty quickly. Then he is shot after a longer message is typed, and (I think) the final time - after the whole message is displayed on the sheet. Next, a waving American flag is projected on the whole sheet and the spotlight is on Madonna standing behind it. Since there are no stage lifts or anything like that, then yes, she just walks out on stage. Hope this helps!

  6. I remember someone in another forum said the mask she's wearing in the blue dress is apparently the one in the blue dress but it clashes badly. I wonder how the front of the outfit and headpiece looked. The handmaid look is definitely one that stands out especially one she removes the coif piece.

  7. Madonna was to work with Shep Pettibone again (who produced Vogue and the Erotica album) but they had a falling out during production. She switched producers and went for a softer sound. Survival was played on some radio stations across North America even though it wasn't a single. A tour was planned and even Wembley Stadium in London was booked for several shows but the tour was canceled because she landed the role for Evita. Mark Romanek heard Bedtime Story when the album was released and begged her to let him direct the music video. It wasn't even planned as a single at the time. Madonna didn't eat but instead smoked cigarettes while filming the Take A Bow video to stay thin. The first printing of the album came in a turquoise CD case and had her face upside down (as it was supposed to be) but later the image was flipped and came in a black CD case. The album was pressed on pink vinyl and only sold/given away as a promo. This item is super rare and is worth a lot of money among collectors. Take A Bow spent 7 weeks at number one and remains her most successful single in the USA. The over all look and theme of the album was to be a purposely softer project to help the backlash from the Erotica/SEX book era. This image was supposed to be the original album cover: Bedtime Story was the first song since Burning Up that didn't chart in the top 40 charts. I'd rather Be Your Lover was to originally have Tupac doing the rap verses. This demo can be found online (even here). All of the album's singles were on GHV2, which at the time was the only album that had all of its singles featured on a greatest hits compilation.

  8. During the tour, M has often been asking her beer fan his/her sign, and we all know she really is into astrology. Despite many sites on the internet state her rising sign is Virgo, she has often spoken about this in interviews. I thought I'd share them here, one is not a well known one... Solar sign: Leo Rising/Ascendant: Aquarius Moon: Virgo At 3:45 At 7:20

  17. I think Bruce Springsteen's On Broadway tour would be a good comparison in terms of the scale and intentions of this tour. Springsteen amassed $113,058,952 form 236 shows in 2018, averaging $479,063 per show. Not to shabby! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springsteen_on_Broadway At present, M is averaging $601,985 per show, but as already noted by others above, that number could've been higher as we know every show isn't selling out, and some tickets are reportedly being sold under face value. That said, Live Nation, Guy Oseary and M clearly know what they're doing - the price of tickets, intimate venues, set list and showtimes are only likely to appeal to those most ardent and committed fans. This is not the Sticky & Sweet Tour, designed to sweep the most amount of money by appealing to the broadest and largest audience possible. It's an experimental tour, within an already incredibly commercially successful career. So far the reaction to the show itself has been overwhelmingly positive, even if the process of buying tickets has been an endurance test for far too many fans! For some further comparisons, Janet Jackson averaged $448,030 per show, for 79 dates, and an unconfirmed total of $42.3 million, during her 2017-19 State of the World Tour, which was a far more comprehensive greatest hits tour, playing mostly arenas. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_the_World_Tour Mariah Carey took her last album Caution on tour playing 34 dates to a reported $7.4 million gross*, playing theatres similar in size to Madame X. *8 dates are missing from Wikipedia, and gross for festival dates are not included. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caution_World_Tour Madame X won't be the commercial high-point of M's career, but that's fine - it was never intended to be - but it's already being noted as a creative stand-out. & if M ever wanted to go big and rake in the most amount of cash possible, she could easily do what Springsteen did in 2016 with the River Tour - a 35th Anniversary revival tour for his 1980 album The River. Imagine if M did a 2020 30th Anniversary tour of the Immaculate Collection. The general public would go nuts for it! It would easily be the biggest tour of her career. But maybe that's just not her style... Either way, it's great to hear so many positive reviews of Madame X, and taking these kinds of commercial and creative risks can only reflect positively on her legacy as an artist. Go M!

  20. So not true. They aren't going to shoot a split second of a look film wise and then say "that's a wrap." There's bound to be outtakes, minutes of the look setting in poses as seen briefly. There's even photos we haven't seen yet apparently so the few shots or seconds in the doc isn't all that was filmed. It's not conspiracy but just how things are shot and done with shoots. Even the Martha Graham look has multiple angles and sequences.

  21. No it was on her own Instagram, a file sitting next to her. :'( I kept wishing for those to become something, since those were clearly well designed outfits and sets and it's a shame that the whole Madame X persona was not fleshed out. I feel like they planned for more music videos and it's sad that it just ended up being a trailer and some short documentary where she repeats the same things we've heard a thousand times in recent interviews. :'( :'( Yeah. I wish it didn't just end up being small segments in the documentary... It could've made amazing music videos.

  22. I BELIEVE that the right side up cover was actually a mistake. I heard that when the album was being pressed they thought her face was supposed to be right side up but they were corrected that Madonna's face was supposed to be upside down. The pressings which followed were upside down. I haven't seen any recent pressings, but I think it's odd that they would be printing them right side up since that's not what M intended.

  27. She didn't fall out with Shep. She saw they were rehashing a lot of what they had done prior and she wanted to go a different direction with the album. She thanked him for being understanding of it in the album credits. BJork wasn't happy with Madonna's take on Bedtime Story so she released her own version of it with the original title "Sweet Intuition." She said she gave the song to Madonna as a favor for a friend of hers, not Madonna. Don't Stop was infamously pushed as a single at some point. Talks of a tour were bound to take place but scrapped once she began campaigns and vying for the part in Evita. She considered the "Take a Bow" video her audition for it. I remember thinking it was part of Evita at some part. Became a fan in 05 so imagine go through her 90's videos and thinking it was part of the same lot. The right side up/downside drama with the album cover. Forbidden Love being the final single at some point before those plans were dropped.

  30. I will rate it 3 stars. Nothing exceptional, but not that bad either. Some of the outfits look like rags, the setlist is very short too (lots of talking, interludes and instrument solos). The autotune is EXCESSIVE and annoying, to the point you cant enjoy the songs. This needs to STOP.

  32. https://alabe.com/cgi-bin/chart/astrobot.cgi?INPUT1=Madonna&INPUT2=&MONTH=08&DAY=16&YEAR=1958&HOUR=7&MINUTE=00&AMPM=PM&TOWN=Bay+City&COUNTRY=USA&STATE=MI&INPUT9=&Submit=Submit (Please remember that internet states she was born at 7:00 AM, but this would contradict what she says herself in these interviews). Name: Madonna August 16 1958 7:00 PM Time Zone is EST Bay City, MI Rising Sign is in 11 Degrees Aquarius You like new ideas and concepts, but you prefer to discover them by yourself -- it is not easy for others to convert you to anything. You form your own opinions, but once you do form them, you then want to convince everyone else that they are correct. Try to be more tolerant of the opinions of others. You have a deep and abiding interest in science, mathematics, and the great social problems of the day. Very sympathetic toward the downtrodden, equality is your battle cry! You demand that those in authority be fair to all. You are an intellectual -- emotions and emotional people are difficult for you to understand. You are known for being calm, cool, detached and objective. Sun is in 23 Degrees Leo. More than a bit of a showoff, you love to be the center of attention! But others do not usually mind because they tend to enjoy your genuine warmth and affection. Very spirited and willful, proud and self-important at times, you demand your own way. You are quite honest, however, and the respect of others is very important to you. You never compromise yourself and you pursue your goals with persistence and dedication. Your regal presence and demeanor draws you to positions of leadership and authority. But beware of being overly hardheaded, domineering, ostentatious or patronizing or you will lose the goodwill and admiration that you enjoy. Very theatrical, you live life on a grand scale wherever and whenever possible. Your strength and energy vitalizes those who come in contact with you. Moon is in 18 Degrees Virgo. You tend to be serious-minded but cheerful for the most part. You need tasks that engage both your mind and your hands. A careful worker, you enjoy making things. You are neat and orderly, and are very concerned with good health habits. Fastidious to the extreme, you cannot tolerate messes and will immediately clean them up. Reserved, shy, and very self-critical, you tend to be very hard on yourself. You usually will go out of your way to be helpful and useful to others. Practical, reliable, efficient and conservative, at times you are a bit of a prude. You are known to lead a simple, uncomplicated, frugal, methodical and unemotional lifestyle. You are devoted and caring to those you love. Mercury is in 05 Degrees Virgo. Very thorough and efficient, you pay attention to the minor but important details of any project. You are a careful thinker who can learn complicated, intricate techniques. You are attracted to practical, useful skills and are probably good at working with your hands. You are very critical of yourself and others, sometimes too much so, and you get the reputation of being a nag or of being nit-picky. Your first reaction to any situation is to try to organize, classify and analyze everything! Venus is in 01 Degrees Leo. You have a striking, regal appearance and demeanor that attracts others to you. Your friendship is highly sought and you tend to take friendships quite seriously -- you remain loyal and true to those to whom you are attached. For you, love is mixed with pride and respect. Relationships are over when you lose respect for your partner. Be careful of a tendency to relate only to those who make you look good -- the powerful, important and influential. This can lead to arrogance and selfishness, and neither of these qualities becomes you. Mars is in 15 Degrees Taurus. Careful, slow and thorough about all that you do, at times you are also willful and stubborn when others try to alter your course. You are definitely not a quitter -- you will work long and hard to get what you want. Your possessions are very important to you. One of your continuing problems is that you tend to regard the significant people in your life much the same way as you do your possessions -- you become overly attached and much too jealous. You repress your anger when you get upset and that is not healthy. Try to learn to show your anger immediately in order to avoid painful explosions later. Jupiter is in 26 Degrees Libra. You are generally good at balancing opinions and judging issues, but you tend to be indecisive when it comes to making up your own mind. You are objective and quite concerned with fair play and justice. But, when it comes to yourself, you are so aware that whatever you do might upset the apple cart that you often choose to compromise rather than do anything that might make you lonely or vulnerable. Relationships are very important to you -- you learn about yourself and grow through observing yourself interacting with others. Your aesthetic tastes are refined, but expansive and expensive. Saturn is in 19 Degrees Sagittarius. Basically quite conservative, you respect traditional authority figures and are very thankful and supportive of the laws and institutions which govern your life. You learn and accept new ideas only after having very thoroughly examined them. Ideals and abstract concepts are important to you only if they can be used in some practical fashion. You are so practical and so orderly that you have natural skills in planning, administrating and organizing. Uranus is in 12 Degrees Leo. You, and your peers as well, demand complete and total freedom of self- expression. You want to make your mark in the world according to your own lights and will brook no interference from traditional authority figures, especially if they attempt to mold or shape you in any way. You are honest and forthright, but a bit offbeat and eccentric. The lack of self-discipline may hinder you from reaching your goals as quickly as you would like. Neptune is in 02 Degrees Scorpio. You, and your entire generation, are extremely interested in anything deep and mysterious. You will explore and idealize the benefits that can accrue from the study of the occult, healing and psychology. You are willing to experiment with substances like drugs in order to push your understanding of your inner being to the extreme. Pluto is in 01 Degrees Virgo. For your entire generation, this will be a time when profound changes in society's attitude toward work, duty and responsibility will be initiated. Radical changes in attitudes toward personal health and general nutrition will be promulgated and gain wide acceptance and practice. N. Node is in 23 Degrees Libra. You find it very difficult to be comfortable being alone -- you would much prefer to be in an environment where many people are working together toward common goals. Your charming and sincere approach to others assures your popularity -- you have the gift of being able to ease tensions just by your mere presence. You're the perfect "team player" willing to sacrifice your own importance so that the group goal can be accomplished. Be careful, however, not to become overly dependent on your interactions with others -- you have personal private needs that should not be neglected.

  43. My thoughts exactly. I don’t think $10m is anything to be proud of especially how every show had tickets for sale up until the last minute. NYC is the longest run for the tour, and Chicago even has front row seats for sale until now, not to mention the discounts. Madonna has achieved far more than this before and she should’ve really stuck with arenas and stadiums, because that’s where the money is especially that she always puts on the best shows.
