    I can't believe it. It's from a lossy source (mp3 or similar). I also did a sample rate conversion from 88200 Hz to 44100 Hz in Audition and it's clear: Living For Love is from a lossy source This is incredible. Hi-Res audio... HA!

    No that's the problem i have with it, it may not be possible to give us a HiRes format of these mixes for whatever reason (probably they just doesn't exist). But to sell a package on Qobuz saying it's HiRes when it clearly isn't is a con. It's not just one or two tracks either, some of them may appear HiRes but they are only just pushing over the original CD quality for them to register as so.

Avevano ragione: da allora Madonna non ha mai più cantato in una discoteca». Il look sfoggiato a Samassi fu poi usato dalla star nel film "Cercasi Susan disperatamente". L'inizio di una carriera strepitosa o quasi. «Quel giorno rimase in disparte, si chiuse in camerino e venne fuori solo per provare il suo brano. Fece "Holiday", un pezzo che in Italia non era ancora arrivato» dice Gianfranco Pisano che sin da allora si occupa al Biggest di sceneggiature e luci. A insistere si scopre che in quella serata Madonna era una comprimaria. «I big erano gli Immagination, in classifica in tutto il mondo con "Illusion". E c'era anche Brian Adams ed Eugenio Finardi, che si scocciò perché gli chiesero di cedere il posto a Madonna, una che nessuno conosceva, perché altrimenti avrebbe perso l'aereo». Dunque un volo di linea niente aereo privato, né gorilla al seguito. Veronica Ciccone giunse a Samassi con una Mercedes presa a nolo. «Il produttore personale le diceva anche come doveva salutare. Mangiò un panino al prosciutto e chiese un'aranciata: e anche queste scelte furono fatte dal manager». Insomma, un esordio da semisconosciuta. Al Biggest non hanno conservato autografi, né foto, né cimeli d'altro genere. Della serata, che si aprì alle due del pomeriggio e si concluse nel cuore della notte esiste una cassetta vhs custodita gelosamente dal proprietario. «Lei non suscitava particolari attenzioni, una biondina grintosa come tante altre. Cantò in playback e dovette ripetere anche la registrazione», aggiunge Francesco Fois. Quella puntata di Discoring andò in onda la domenica seguente. Madonna non lasciava certo intuire il suo destino dorato. Da Cagliari, miss Ciccone volò per Milano. E verso il successo.

    Also this was a very exclusive event to promote anything. The remix could have been included as a streaming exclusive bonus track at midnight. And drive a bunch of streams and attention to the album. This way the only thing that trended was Madonna making out with Tokischa and most people that saw that are not even aware this compilation exists

    I think her vocals were at its worst during Sticky and MDNA. There was a clear difference during Rebel Heart. For the best. Honestly that era is severely underrated. The tour, her looks, vocals, performances, etc. She was in her mid 50s and she was amazing.

    I think a bit of both haha. I save HD sources but for me they don’t sound radically better than normal lossless CD quality. Lossy though loses some audible detail depending on how compressed it is. In this case I checked because to my ears it sounded inferior to the other tracks on the album. And it turned out it was. And another issue with lossy masters is that on streaming these get compressed again so they sound even worse

    Well, HDTRACKS (and other websites) are selling Like A Virgin at 192000 Hz when the original master was recorded in digital at 44100 Hz. Many Madonna's digital masters seems to be recorded only at CD/DVD quality in the 80s and 90s.

    Sadly, and we all know that, this is not rare in the music industry. There are tons of examples, Janet and even Prince come to mind right now. They use whatever they have available and if the rest of the collection is HQ, they fake it. Now the Apple Digital Master (previously know as Mastered For iTunes) is quite popular and most of the big label artists usually have that. That version is converted from the original files and they need to be 24 bits so the label has to provide Apple with those HQ masters so they can convert them into Apple Digital Master AAC files... in collections like this one where not every source is HQ they just fake it cause you can't have some songs on an album being Apple Digital Master and not others, you need the whole album or nothing at all. It's sad, I know, but we also know 99,9% of the people listening to it don't care, mind, notice. I usually care and I didn't even notice anything weird with the "Living For Love" remix, to be honest, I wouldn't know if it wasn't for you. But I agree is not the perfect situation.

    I get what you mean but if that was really the objective why did she perform 2 remixes that aren't on the album? I think this new remix has more potential for a young audience similar to the Frozen remixes.

    Love the remix but the primary objective of this performance was to promote the FEL compilation, and releasing a new remix not on the compilation at the same time would take away from it, I think.

    Did anyone see her in 2019 on the Madame X tour? Her vocals were phenomenal. They were a lot better than anything since the Confessions tour. Her performance of Frozen to the shows I went to were amazing

    In a really good stereo system, of course if you are really pay attention. In my kitchen when I'm cooking, with my cheap stereo system, no. But many people doesn't have Hi-Res stereo players, so for many people it's not a problem. But don't worry. An audio purist want the best audio quality, but if the song is too good, he can play the mp3 version and enjoy it. Again, the problem is: They are selling a lossy track as Hi-Res.

    Only "Like A Virgin" because is a digital recording, the rest are true Hi-Res audio tracks. The original "Like A Virgin" CDs are like a copy of the original master.

    Yeah, haha. I was still trying to stay in bounds of those already planned on the deluxe. Ray of Light was released as a sample but it’s on the deluxe… should’ve been on the standard instead of Frozen then.

    I'm reliving the 80s and 90s music in 12" vinyl releases. Literally just banged to Flashdance "What a Feeling" 12 inch version. Highly recommended. But to keep on Madonna...the 12 inch versions would be wild.

    In 2005 she had only a slight vocal decline, she continued to sing fairly well, during the Confessions Tour her vocal performances were good. Her worst was in Hung Up, always. The Sticky & Sweet Tour was the real disaster, she was out of tune like crazy. She was trying to make a rock voice, all the mid-high notes were waning and flat. On the MDNA Tour and the Rebel Heart Tour she paid a little more attention to her vocals, cleverly using pre-recorded vocals and preparing herself for the songs a little bit. If she studied singing for a year, going to a lesson once or twice a week, she would have incredible benefits. The mistakes she makes are always the same, established for years. She really needs a vocal coach and to work on her voice. But I doubt she will do that.

    I'm sorry to ruin your experience, but only Like A Prayer and Express Yourself are real Hi-Res tracks in this 16 tracks version. The rest are almost CD quality, a little better (this is not bad, but far from "Hi-Res"). Like A Prayer: Secret: Hung Up:

    The fact some of you think the fake ass is a “recent” thing when it was already fake back in 2012 (smaller yes, but still not real). Also the breath thing..Madonna always had breathing issues while singing live. Have you forgotten most of the 1998 performances? It’s not a figure or corset thing 😂 Some of you act like she was this powerful incredible vocalist before. Also, Celine Dion, Mariah etc lip sync too. And they don’t put a Madonna show.

    Weird that we all prayed for a nice performance, without braids, without grills, not missing any cues, blah blah blah. She delivered everything we wanted... and the discussion is still about her implants, performance skills, body, age etc. You just want more and more and more.
