just re-watched Cold Hearted Snake (from 1989, before any comparisons with Madonna start), and Ari's video is a DIRECT homage to the whole video, every scene is a reference to Paula Abdul's video

if there is BAT, then it means BAT was modeled after Paula Abdul, which it wasn't... Ari's video is 100% Paula Abdul. The only similarity between BAT and Paula Abdul's video is that they were both inspired by Bob Fosse.

BAT is nothing like Paulas I get that but you can see both we all see things differently thats OK. Course Paulas was a nod to Flashdance too.

Not really seeing anything Madonna related, but I guess if we carefully dissect there could be some slight comparisons.  I do see the Cold Hearted Snake connection, but then again we have to remember Paula (and many other artists) have done similar videos which all are directly inspired by the movie Flashdance and Irene Cara's What A Feeling song.

I'd say she was inspired by Fosse, with so many dancers on stage. The video for Cold Hearted was directly inspired by this number from 1979.
