  1. 2 weeks ago, M unfollowed Dua Lipa on Instagram. The next day, Dua did the same... I wonder what happened.

  2. A host of stars, including Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian and Lil Nas X are set to appear in Madonna’s “Madame X Presents: Madame Xtra Q&A.” The Madonna special will air on Paramount Plus on Nov. 18 and is hosted by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winners Symone and Aquaria. Each of the stars appearing pose their burning questions to the star. In the special, Kardashian asks: “Do you have all of your awards show and music video wardrobe, and if you do, do you let your daughter wear any of it?” Kardashian admits she would love to raid the closet “so badly,” and asks the Queen of pop if she could borrow an item to wear one day. Watch what Madonna answers below: “Madame X” was filmed in January 2020 during Madonna’s six-night stand at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of her 11th concert tour, which marked the first time she had played in theaters and smaller venues since 1985 Like a Virgin tour. The concert opens with “God Control,” and is followed by “Dark Ballet,” with its sample from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. The album was released in 2019 and is a collection of 15 new songs inspired by Madonna’s residency in Lisbon, Portugal. “Lisbon is where my record was born,” Madonna said, “I found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians that reinforced my belief that music across the world is truly all connected and is the soul of the universe.” The Q&A was filmed when Madonna held court at the premiere of the new documentary “Madame X” on Sept. 23 at New York’s Paradise Club at the Edition Times Square. https://variety.com/2021/music/news/kim-kardashian-madame-q-and-a-madonna-1235107740/

  5. What's so bad about Maluma? And MX was such a dark serious era especially the actual show so it definitely needed lighter stuff.

  6. 1983: Madonna - “Madonna” We must be crazy. A Madonna album in a year that proved so important to alternative rock with R.E.M.’s “Murmur” (and not to mention albums from New Order and Violent Femmes that weren’t eligible)? And yet, Madonna’s debut studio sonically encapsulate the sound of the 1980s more than anything released before or after it. Disco died at the end of the 1970s. Yet, with her debut album (heavily influenced by the genre), Madonna was defining the sound of dance-pop for a new decade. Her later albums get more credit for being “artistic.” But “Madonna” (which amazingly opens with the trio of “Lucky Star,” “Borderline” and “Burning Up”) can’t be underestimated as a tour de force that mixes pitch-perfect pop and female vulnerability on a level that has rarely been achieved. https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2021/11/10-best-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-albums-of-the-1980s-year-by-year.html

  7. So, only people of great intelligence and artistry, or some would say : her equals. She really knows how to surround herself with the best ones. After Rolling Stone's "Musicians on musicians" special with none other than Maluma, more legends meeting a legend, yeaaaah !

  8. M realized how bad the remix was and is going to pretend it didn't even happen how to blame her? Lol For real tho... You got a living legend like Madonna and a super icon like Missy on a record and you basically throw it away like nothing, in favor of a remix with a random rapper and promote the hell out of it... How the actual fuck do you even do that?

  9. I discover this only now, thanks for the info lol Don't ask... She would reply:"soon... ?"

  11. Probably because Madonna didn’t show up for the video and Dua didn’t promote it as much as the DaBaby version

  12. it's obvious that they are somewhere. These videos cost a lot of money. And she is a major artist. There's no way they weren't at Warner's or directly in Madonna's archives (she'd keep her costumes, accessories, notebooks but not the masters of her videos ? Come on ! ). You're probably right, t's too expensive for proper resmasters.

  13. Pop music is disposable. Warner probably have the original masters for the final SD videos and that's it. Look at all the other remasters for other artists, most of them are upscales too. Only if the artists themselves or the directors kept the original reels they can do a proper remaster. Record companies were and are into making lots of money today, usually they never think about the future.

  14. Imagine she had milked her Grammy award winning album Ray of Light as much as she's been milking this? Or even Confessions, Music or American Life?

  15. who cares if it's a bunch of a-list hollywood trash it will get their fan bases to watch so that's money in madonna's dealer purse !!!!

  16. They have to have them, I mean it's Madonna My theory is that they don't remaster the videos properly because it's way more expensive than these upscales.

  18. Exactly, to say that the issue is 4k tvs is ridiculous. GGW is in 720 and still looks better than these "HD" versions. Im wondering if the "directors original files" comment is even true. Who knows if its just the quickest thing they could find and just went with it. JML isnt terrible but it's really surprising how its obviously not true HD.

  19. Basically it's upscaled/fake HD. The comment about "straight from the director's original files" is intriguing, though and at least shows Madonna's team is reading fan comments and care. Mondino did the upscale himself? Did he provide the best version of the file he could and Madonna's team/Warner/Rhino did the rest? Anyway let's hope we can have all the rest of Mondino's videos soon too.

  21. I agree with you there I have a new 55” 4K tv and it’s the worst HD remaster out of all of them, the part where they’re in the corridor there is light shadow on his leg and the picture just seems shadowy and grainy.

  25. Well, a ton of fans are frustrated by her as of late and are allowed to express that here. A forum is a discussion outlet. It's not like blindly defending each and every single move of her makes someone a "better" fan. She doesn't know who a single one of us is. There's a reason these forums have much less activity than a decade ago. The smaller group left here is clearly a devoted base, but even amongst us, we're getting cynical about some of her decisions in the last few years. We all want to see her at the top again and be the pop star we fell in love with, but some of us, myself included, are recognizing less and less of the Madonna we fell in love with in the woman we see today. The woman who "doesn't care what others think" makes herself virtually unrecognizable in pictures she's so obviously insecure with how she looks. It's an extreme contradiction to the values she stood for in the past and that we all celebrated. That doesn't mean we need to hang it up and be a fan of someone else, nor does it mean that we need to reassert our fandom through blind affirmations of her Queendom. One can be a fan, appreciate some of her work today (e.g. the Madame X album), and still sorely miss fundamental aspects of Madonna that have seemed to disappear over the years.
