*A little warning - If this happens, tickets for Glosto sell out FAST, and I do mean FAST.

They go on sale on November 5th.

It's not long until the long-awaited Glastonbury 2024 tickets go on sale on November 5.

And according to reports Madonna is set to headline the festival next June in Worthy Farm in Somerset.

According to The Sun, she is in advanced talks to take to the Pyramid stage in the summer.

The singer, 65, has never performed at the iconic music festival and her team are reportedly planning a huge show which would be sure to go down in Glastonbury history.

Madonna would be following in the footsteps of the legendary Sir Elton John who closed the festival last June with his final ever show on his Farewell tour.

A source from the publication revealed: 'Negotiations are well underway between Glasto organiser Emily Eavis and Madonna's manager Guy Oseary.

'Both teams are keen to make it happen and striking a deal shouldn't be a problem.

'Emily was blown away watching Madonna perform in London and is desperate to get her on the Pyramid Stage next year.'

The Like A Virgin hitmaker kicked off her Celebration Tour last weekend with sold-out shows at the O2 Arena.

During the show, Madonna sent temperatures soaring as she hit the stage in satin lingerie and writhed on stage with a whole host of topless dancers.

In the audience herself, Emily shared her excitement after the show online as she wrote: 'She's back! Incredible.'

And fans are convinced it was a sign that Madonna is top of the organiser's list.

According to the star's schedule her 78-show tour will finish next April meaning she has a nice break to recuperate and rehearse ready for Glastonbury.

Last June revellers enjoyed the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses and Elton John, yet Emily faced backlash after no female headliner made the lineup.

She explained at the time: 'We did have a female headliner, and she unfortunately had to pull out . . . it changes all the time.

'But next year it's looking like we've got two female headliners, so fingers crossed.'

Taylor Swift was thought to have pulled out over a change in plans as he tour dates seemed to coincide perfectly with Glastonbury at the time.

This would be a genius move. She could just perform the Celebration Tour setlist and give the general public the hits they so desperately wanna hear.

Yes, I saw Janet at Panorama NYC it was a pared down version of her tour show and it was amazing! I got to walk to front row.

Btw, I would add that, with this tour format as festival/stadium, she could tour places in EU such as Poland and Greece (well, East Europe/Balkans after all) that normally wouldn't be satisfied to an only arena tour... She would even go back to Iberia for obvious reasons... so many possibilities, I truly hope TCT does not end at the Palacio de los Deportes!!! Such a tour deserves to go ahead the longer as possible!!!

The entire article sounds made up by some underpaid gossip columnist. Emily Eavis has been to see her before so it's a tenuous connection. And no doubt they've probably had a conversation with GuyO at some point about the possibility. But the real clue that they've just taken speculation from forums is the line "And fans are convinced it was a sign that Madonna is top of the organiser's list."

We'll See.

Maybe M plans to release a new song after the tour (The Max Martin one or another one) and so this could be part of the promo of the new song... In a way i'm thinking that if she has recorded music with Max Martin before the tour then she wants it to be ready just after the tour, otherwise she would have started recording after the tour. She wil probably take advantage of the big hype of the tour to release new music just when the tour ends, while everything is hot.

Emily Eavis, like her father before her, has always been vocal in wanting Madonna at Glasto so its hardly tenuous.

It really depends on Madonna. It she wants to play there and what demands she makes (Its a festival on a farm and not a stadium).
