Streaming don't kill anything

it just how music market transform its natural and there is nothing wrong with it

The main problem how they count pure sales and stream

i mean its kind a wired  that 6 LPs or 3 cd of  FEL is literally count as 1 album sale

and its equals to 1 album sale comes from streaming

Or they just downgrade some artists achievements take songs from .....80s 90s 00s .... when only singles can chart and now when every song can chart without being a single and put all in 1 list and etc...

Streaming is the way it is now - everyone (mostly) streams rather than purchases - so you need to add that to the mix, otherwise you aren't actually reflecting what is really trending/charting.

The issue with established artists - is they are great with physical sales, but less with streaming, although Madonna's team is really working hard to turn that around.

A positive though to having a fan base looking to buy rather than stream is a greater amount of $$ :)

if shes sold the most physical copies then she should be number 1 imo .. period

it can't be so, because it simply does not reflect an album's popularity.... music is consumed differently now, we can't just disregard streaming as the most popular music outlet simply because it doesn't work in Madonna's favor.

Compared to her previous UK chart performance of similar compilation releases: “You Can Dance” (peak @ #5), “Something To Remember” (peak @ #3), and “GHV2” (peak @ #2), then I won’t feel too frustrated if FEL fails to top the chart. But the headline “Steps beats Madonna debuting at #1” would be kinda humiliating, though.

GHV2 and YCD were released during her prime and STR was promoted with new music tho. Not really a fair comparison tbh

Comparing remix albums with greatest hits albums is no good.

At most compare this with You Can Dance. This is debuting higher than You Can Dance in virtually everywhere in the world for now.
