Madonna wants Britney to join her onstage on her ‘Celebration’ Tour

Madonna wants Britney Spears to join her onstage on her ‘Celebration’ Tour in Los Angeles, PageSix reports.

The pop superstars have long been friends and even share the same agent, we’re told, with the pair duetting on “Vogue” at Spears’ ill-fated wedding to her now-estranged husband, Sam Asghari, in June 2022.

Madonna — who celebrated her 65th birthday in Lisbon, Portugal, last week with her six children — is getting back to rehearsals for her tour after being rushed to a New York City intensive care unit earlier this summer.

But she is already making plans for next year after being forced to reschedule her concerts, and we’re told she wants Spears, 41, to appear at one of her five Los Angeles dates in March.

Madonna particularly wants to mark the 20th anniversary of their hit collaboration, “Me Against the Music,” which was released in October 2003.

“Madonna originally wanted Britney to join her on tour this year,” a source tells us. “Everything was pushed back because of her illness, but she still wants Britney to join her at the Kia Forum.”

The stars gave a now-infamous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2003, during which Madonna shared a kiss with both Spears and Christina Aguilera.

The Princess of Pop last joined Madge onstage during the latter’s lucrative Sticky & Sweet Tour in November 2008 — one year after her divorce from Kevin Federline.

Spears — who successfully had her 13-year conservatorship terminated in November 2021 — has not performed in public since October 2018, though Page Six broke the news last week that she is planning a new album amid her latest divorce from 29-year-old Asghari.

The Madonna source, meanwhile, tells Page Six that the “Vogue” singer is extremely healthy following her hospitalization and is getting ready to fly her entire crew over to London next month to prepare for her greatest-hits tour launch on Oct. 14 at the O2 Arena.

“Madonna’s entire tour crew are heading to London in the last week of September to start rehearsing in Brixton. They will also be given access to the O2 a day early on Oct. 13 to set up and do a full dress rehearsal,” the source shares.

“Some of the dance routines have been toned down for [Madonna] so that it’s not so strenuous. She’s focusing more on being the frontrunner rather than trying to keep up with the backing dancers.

“She will still be putting on a great show, but her team’s main concern is ensuring that she’s healthy and can get through the tour from start to finish.”

Not gonna happen… Britney is no longer a singer nor a performer. Next xx

I wouldn't rule it out.  Recently divorced and the rumor of her working on new music, who knows?  Not only that, she makes for a great comeback story.

Beyond Britney appearing on stage with Madonna, I assume Madonna has reached out to a number of people to appear on stage with her at certain venues.  If anyone can bring Britney back on stage, it would be Madonna.

Madonna and Britney are the true living legends in pop music history no matter what they both go through imo. You may like britney or not, you may discuss her vocal power etc, but at the end of the day, these 2 women made&make the pop history.
there are very succesfull female artists out there rn but none of them have created such impact as these 2 women in pop music history (music videos, performances, songs, dancing etc).

so yea, it would be amazing to see them on stage together again. And if there is one person who can make britney go on stage again, it is madonna.

The pop music trio is MJ, Madonna and Britney for me.

Britney is not in any mental condition to make a public appearance, let alone a PERFORMANCE.

Completely agree. And if it went poorly I feel like people would attack Madonna for pushing her on stage too soon.

Having said that, if Britney filmed an interlude with her, I’d love it! Imagine 4 Minutes with Britney instead of Justin ha!

To be fair, she hasn't been particularly well in over a decade... It hasn't stopped her performing as such... Who could forget that House of Blues tour?
